Dr. Lieber was born at Berlin, _March 18,
1800, and was accordingly in his seventy :
third year. - lie entered 'the Prussian army
at fifteen as a volunteer, ,His regiment was •
stationed near the frontier, and he took
part in the contests of 'Amend Waterloo,-

Namur. Returning to Berlin, he Was one
of a large number of young Germans who
resisted tho reactionary,, tendencies of the
Government, anti was arrested as a Liberal.

his studies at the University of Jena. The

of Richmond, in said county, on Thursday, October
24. 1872, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, the following
described lots of land belonging to said estate. within
one-fourth tulle of the State Normal School, at Mans
field: all that lot of laud known as the Holden :arm,
