Overpeck, after continuing for four months with success, closed -Friday, March 29th, with a grand exhibition. The exercises 'consisted of declamations, dialogues, cha rades, vocal and• instruhental music, togeth er with a troupe of minstrels. The exhibi tion Was• well conducted and resulted in com plete success. 311 played their part without singlo failure in any piece. The exercises wereheld in a building of William Garrison's, which was fitted up for the occasion, and which was soon filled by a large audience, and many more were unable to obtain ad mission. The exercises were witnessed by all with great interest. It is supposed that he ruptured a blood vessel in a fit of coughing, from the effects of which he died in about fifteen minutes.
