The Minor ys "the Republicans of McKean county Made a - noble fight on Tuesday, altho' the dissensions in our own ranks weakened us a little in Semi localities. In mogtof the town ships, however, the Republicans iliade a very clean record. LI n localities where the opposing candidates lit;ea, as was contest .they run ahead of their 'ticket. Thenontest was bitterly fought on both sides and gloriously won by the Union men. On the, other hand;with; • in the Reptiblican organization were these who seemed diiiiptiried to create discord, and to such an extent had this been carried on, that many votes/were lost to us entirely in the township of keating ea the county ticket. Be also built several miles of R.R• near Waynesboro, Va., and seven miles of the Sunbury and Erie R.R. not far from Emporium.
