Andrew Johnson on the 27th proclaimed the

ury, the undersigned has assumed the' Gen
eral Subscription .Agency for the sale of
Uniteditates Treasury Notes, bearing seven
and three tenths percent, interest, per an
num, known as the
.SEVEN-TEURTY LOAN.
These Votes are issued under date of August
15th, 1664, and are payable three years from
that time, in currency, or are convertible at
theloptipn of the bolder into

These bonds are now worth a premium of
nine per cent., including gold interest from
Nov., +slab makes the actual profit on the
T-5p loian, at current rates, including inter
est, about ten per cent, per e. , nntri, besides
its exemption from Slate and munieipal taxation,

cording to the rate levied on other property.
The interest is payable semi-..annually by
