By authority of the Secretary of the Treas
ury, the undersigned , has assumed the Gen
eral Subscription Agency for the sale of
United- States Treasury Notes, bearing seven
and three tenths per cent; interest, per an-
num, known as the
SEVEN-THIRTY LOAN.
These Votes are issued under date of August
15th, 1864, and are payable three years &Om
that time, in cyrreney, or are convertible at
the option of the bolder into

Tbese bonds are now worth a prom* of
nine per cent., including gold interest frpm
Nov., which makes the actual profit o_ti the
7-50 loan, at current rates, including inter

its exemption from Slate and munieipal taxation,
which adds from one , to three per cent ; more, 'Ac-
cording to the rate levied on other property.
The interest is payable semi-annually by
