GREAT REVOLUTION IN MEDICAL SCIENCE.
The best Therapeutic Agent
I ever Introduced.
._ .
.. clearly demon
strated that the lancet, mercury, and all other
internal "drug medication" may be laid aside
witht perfect safety to tie patient and abid
ing benefit to posterity. Wherever these ma
chinps have been introduced, they excite the
highest wonder and praise. The apparatus
is adapted to prevent, relieve and cure every
disease incident to humanity,—more particu
larly all those painful and formidable diseas
es .which
have for centuries baffled the to
foundest learning and skill of physicians.
From whatever cause there may be an ex

imsirively prevent, and speedily relieve and
cure i Consumption, ' Scrofula, Rheumatism,
Palsies, , Neuralgia, Spinal Diseases, and all
other painful maladies, however hopeless and
of long standing. They are eminently useful
in all sexual and urinary disorder§, particu

ers and, PrOfeasors - of • the - -Allopathic
School are ready to testify, ,(and- ,many have
already done So,) to the evils resulting from
the drug system of -Practice. 'Dr. !Limn,
whose reputation as a Physician and Surgeon
was as unlimited as the - disease, sickness and
death of humanity, declared, after many long
! years of practice,- "that he had no faith in
drugs," and expressed as his firm belief? "that
he ha no faith in Physic, that if he-could on
ly, know that his drgs h ad not killed more
than he had been the means of restoring to
health, he should feel more at peace; and.
could die happy."' Such 'is the language 'of
'many of those Professors, who first taught as
the principler:and practice of the Allopathic
School, What better evidence do you ask of
the inefficiency pf drugs to cure disease, and
of their poisonous influence upon, the human
system? Physicians whose names we have
been accumulating wisdom from many years' .
practice and experience—and from such a
forintain of knowledge and wisdom comes the
assurance ? and there is no safety, no virtue,
no health; to be found in taking drugs. Will
yon listen to their teachings I or will you con
tinue to \burden your stomach, and poison
your strength, because you fear you• may of
fend the dignity of some .Esculapian. Who
cries humbug l \ humbug! at every advince in
Medical Reform We can assure you from
bitter, well-earned experience, that there 'is a
better, a far more 'pleasant road to the haven
of health, than to ravel in that pathway
which is strewn with drugs, or poisonous
weeds, We will lead You along,. by the run
ning brook, which comes bubbling down the
sideof your Allegany Mountains; it will quench
your thirst, allay your fever * , and when right
ly applied, cleanse and purify your whole sys
tem, and restore you to the full s enjoyment of
health. It is nature's remedy; and one she
always calls for and demands, when Inflame
motion, Fever, or disease of any kind, threat
ens the destruction of our physical frame.—
We desire then to meet with all those that
are suffering.from disease of the Lungs;Acute
or Chronic disease in any form; we are confi
dent we can do them good. We have been
sick too long, and suffered too much ourselves ,
to have any desire to humbug the sick, WI
trifle with, their'confidence end happiness.—
We trust all who have been sufficiently
drugged, and desire a better practice, will
call, and make our acquaintance, and test our,
skill; wejlave hundreds of names 'and certifi
cates oßEtive from some of the most infiuen- ,
dal citizens of New York and adjoining States
which •nie shall he pleased to 'have all who
are in pursuit of health, call and examine.
Dr. CeliTIA will spend a portion of his timei
the coming season with his friend CHAMSEa-
LAIN,
at Ellisburg. Mr. CILLIIIIENLALN keeps a
Public House, where those of our sick friends
who may desire it, can obtain board on most
reasopable terms. To be sure, Mr. CHAMBER-
Lias's house will not compare with the Astor
::oust of New York,- Ilsoo's Hotel of Utica,
or Str.nwix Hall, Rome. Nor would the bus
iness of that portion,of the State support any
such costly arrangements. But you will find
a ( l an house, a clan bed, and a good cook,
and v 11.1. t, the house 'lacks in finery, fashion
and beat.ty, is more than made up in that
spirit of conte, itment and cheerfulness which
.is ever being thrown out from the large, warm
and sympathetic hearts of our' host and host
ess. Good attendants, whose business it shall
be to giye treatment, and wait upon the sick,'
may be found here that will cheerfully do
everything in thair power for the comfort ofl
the sick. We shall be ready u' all times to
visit the sick in any part of the country. If,
on examination pf the patient, we do not find
the best of evidence tbat we can cure or great
ly benefit them, we shall hold out no induce
ments far Wein to spend their time or money
. in pursuing Our treatment. We shall endeav
