We, the undersigned, having visited Mr. Isaac
Brooks, Jr. at the ''office of Messrs. Rowland &
Walton, 37 n Market Street, Philadelphia, consid
er his case the most remarkable one we have
ever witnessed or heard of.
II is disease was SCROFULA. and terrible must
have been his twelve years' conflict with the des
troyer.
His palate, the entire roof of his• mouth, nose,
upper lip, and lower lid of the HIGHT Err have
been deuroyed, his face nearly eaten up, and part
of the jaw bone carried away. And yet we can
give no description of his case.
Mr. B. informs us that in January' last, the
whole interior of his mouth, as well as most of
hiS face, was a mas's of deop and painful ulcers.
On the 11th of January last. he commenced ta
king Dr. Cullen's Indian Vegetable Panacea.
which checked the disease in a ro, days, and from
that time the cure has progressed without inter
on.
New flesh has supplied the place of the deep
ulcers, and though badly disfigured, his thee is
sound. and his general health is restored. •
We are assured that in the treatment of Mr.
Brook's case, no Alercurials, Ointments. or Caus
tic Applications have been used—in fact. the Pa•
nacea alone has wrought this wonderful change.

Any person applying for insurance must
