THE petition of Jacob Bishop,Philip Bish
op and Thos. Rimes, Trustees of the church
property of the "United Brethren in Christ"
of Germany township . , in the count] of A
dams, humbly sheweth:—
That Philip Bishop, deceased, late of the
township and county aforesaid, by his deed
indented, did . give, grant, bargain and sell,
lease and release, enfeoff and confirm unto
the therein named Trustees and their suc
cessors forever, all. that Tract of Land en
closed by the following metes and bounds,
beginning at the aouth east corner of the
Catholic church ground and running south
60r, west 2.90 perches, 2d station south
40 ° , east 2.00 perches, 3d station, north
61 ° . east 2.60 perches, 4th north 49", east
2.25 perches, sth, north 42°, west 10.10
perches, 6th, south 60 ° , west 0.20 perches,
7th, south 28r, east 7.55 perches, in trust
for the "United Brethren in Christ,' as is
further evidenced by the last will and tes
tament of the decedent: That the aforesaid
deed of trust, executed by the aforesaid Phi
lip Bishop, to the above mentioned Trustees
of the "United Brethren in Christ" bath
been lost, whereby your petitioners' title to
the premises hath become defective and
perfect;—and your petitioners being desir
ous to have the said losses, defects and im
perfections in their said title supplied, there
fore, humbly pray your Elmore will please
issue a subpoena for such person or persons
as may appear to be interested in the mat
ters above set forth, requiring them to ap
pear before your Honors, to make their an
ewers upon oath or affirmation, to the facts

thereupon make such order and decree in
the premises as to justice and equity shall

ENCOURAGED by the unilorm success attending
his peculiar method of treatment. for the preven
tion and cure of venereal complaints, and confirmed
by the experience of many years in a widely extended
practice; sensible also of the happy effects resultiug
to the community, from having confined himself en
tirely to the study and care of a class of diseases
which there is every reason to deplore aro too prev
alent.
Dr. COOKE continues to direct Wesel° attention
to the treatment of every disorder that occurs from
imprudence, whilst under the influence of intemper
ance or any other baneful excitement, and to the cure
of those dreadful maladies, which too often arise there
from. These sometimes commence in a most simple
form, and through neglect or injudicious treatment
afterwards assume a more aggravated state of disease,
occasionin.. abscess ulceration, nodes, caries of the
bones, paned° syphilis, cancer, premature old age.
and too often end In a protracted incurable state of
miserable existence.

Dr. COOKE though professing exclusively the stu
dy and cure of these particular complaints, deems it
proper to inform his friends and the public in general,
in justice to his professional character, that he was
properly educated andwegularly inlatiated into every
branch of the professidh as a general Practitioner in
Europe.
Dr. COOKE may be consulted therefore at all
times, as usual at his offices, which are properly fit
ted up and arranged for confidential consultation.
Country patients residing at a distance—and another
patients who prefer writing instead of a personal in
terview—can be treated with equal success on descri
bing minutely their case by letter, and enclosing a
remittance for advice and medicine. There will be
no difficulty in sending packages to any part of the
