    Dispatch to Mr. Peter Cooper.
Mr. Peter Cooper, President of the At
lantic Telegraph company, informed us
yesterday that on Thursday he telegraph
ed to Mr. Field, stating that he was anx
ious to know if the Agamemnon hat' kid
her end of the cable. Mr. Field replied
that the cable had been successfully laid
and signals were pissing uninterruptedly
through its entire length. Mr. Cooper
States that it was arranged that no message.
Should be transmitted either way until the
Queen's greming- itrid been sent to Mr.
Buchanan. We must, therefore, wait for
the receipt of that message before we can
know anything -snore definite about the
success of the enterprise. Mr. Cooper
himself hits no doubt of the fact that the
cable has. been suteessfully laid to both
•coasts, ns telegraphed by Mr. Field.
