TN this age of progress, Medical Science has

failure to eradicate, or even stop the ravages of
the disease, in nearly every case of well-develop

disease is not in the Stomach but in the Lungs.—
Common sense will at once teach, that medicine

The success of "Medicated Vapor Inhalation"
in treating diseases of the Lungs, exceed my
sanguine expectations, and I earnestly appeal to
the intelligence of all afflicted, or who may have
the germs of sickness e ithin them, to embrace
at once the soothing healing, and successfal sys

"Ark of Refuge" for the Consumptive. I offer
to put it within the retch of all, and can so ar•
range it, that the invalid is never requited to
leave home, where the baud of friendship and
affection, tend so much to aid the physician's
efforts. Where t here is life there is now hope
for the most seemingly hopeless cases, as then',
out all the stages of this insidious disease, the
wonderful nod beneflcient effects of the treat

Marriage.
Married persons, or young men contempla

This disease is the penalty most frequently
paid by those who have become the victim of
improper indelgencies. Young persons are too
apt to commit excesses from not being aware of
the dreadful consequence that may ensue.—
Now, who that understands the subject will pre
tend to deny that the power of Procreation is
lost sooner by those falling into improper habit
then by the prudent. Besides being deprived
of the pleasure of healthy offspring, the most se

physical and mental powers weakened, nervous

Three to four bottles are in.gra. ieurc
the salt rheum.
Five to eight bottles will cure the worst cue
of scrofula.
A benefit it always experienced front the first
bottle, and a perfect cure is warranted when
the abov% quantity is taken.
Reader, I peddled over a thousand bottles
of this in the vicinity of Boston. I know the
ellectof it in every case. So sure as water will
extinguish fire, so sure will this cure humor.—
I never sold a bottle of it but that sold another;
after a trial it always speaks for itself. There
are two things about this herb that appear to
me surprising; first it grows in oar pastures in
some places quite plentiful and yet its value
has never been known until I discovered it in
1846—second that it should cure all kinds of
humor. _ .
In order to give some idea of the sudden rise
and great popularity of the discovery. I will
state that in April, 1853, I peddled it and sold
about six bottles per day—in April, 1854, 1 le
over ono thousand per slay of it.
Some of the wholesale Druggists who have
been in business twenty and thirty years, say
that nothing in the annals of patent medicines
was ever like it. There is a universal praise
of it from all quarters.
In toy own practice I always kept it strictly
for humor—but since its introduction as a gen
eral family medicine, great and wonderful vir
tues have been found in it that I never suspect
ed.
Several cases of epileptic fits—a disease
which won always considered incurable, have
been eared by a few bottles. 0, what a merry
if it will prove enetual in all cases of that
dreadful malady—there ore but few who have
more of it than I have.
I know of several cases of Dropsy, all of
whom aged people cured by it. Far the vari
ous diseases of the Liver, Sick Headache, Dys
pepsia Asthma, Fever and Ague, Pain in th e
Side, Diseases of the Spine, and particularly
in diseases of the Kidneys, Btc., the discovery
has done more geed than any medicine ever
known.
No change of diet over necessary—eat the
best you can got and enough of it.

CUSTOM HOUSE AND THOSE $l9O 00
A FEW days ago this question was put by
one of the Sunday Papers ; it actracted
much attention, was upon the lips of Politicians
who used it or their (pockets) advantage.
But what is it that daily enters the houses of
the most respectable families in Philadelphia?
What is it that gives such happy and bright
prospects to those whose limbs were drawn al
most into knots
What is it causes the deaf to hear, and the
lame to walk 7
What is it that cured the tooth-ache, and ear—
ache of ninny Philadelphians and vicinity ?
What is it that cures Rheumatism without lea
ving any bad streets 7
What is it that makes the palsied limb alive
again 7
What Is it that cures the Croup, that dreaded
complaint which sweeps thousands of this land
into their graves ?
What is it that goodies and takes away inflam
mations 7
What is it that heals wounds and relieves all
pain?
It is Prof. Charles DeGrath's,
Original, Genuine Electric Oil.
Yes I it has cured more cases that wore tho't
hopeless than any medicine extant.
• . _
Do yon say it:is all fudge ? Don't believe it?
Ask those who have used it, they will tell you
that my Oil gave relief after all remedies had
failed. When you ark for Electric Oil, bo sure
ym ask for Prof. DeGrath's, as it is the only
Legitimate Electric Oil prepared; take none other
