THIS Remedy is purely vegetable, without any portion of foreign, deleterious, or mercurial ingredient whatever in its composition. The eon tents or n single Bottle is sufficient to cure the most obstinate case in it single day. It strengthens the stomach, invigorates Alm frame, and restores the system to its usually healthy state—in fact, it entirely prevents that languor and prostration of strength which always attends this disease, and is confidently recom mende4 to all who have tried, in vain, other prc. partitions. Money making is the °Het of the slay, and it is with this object that medicines are prepared for the cure of diseases to whirls' mankind are subject. It is the same with the baker and butch er, the manufacturer, mcchenic, Ste., and it is well that there is this stimulus to induce the thoughtful mid skilful to devise and prepare in convenient form suitable remedies for the afflic ted. An individual, under it distressing and tor turing fit of Chills and Feirer, is not in a right condition to study out the means of relief; nod it is more sensible and natural that he should look to others, than to depend upon his own prostrated energies for the antidote. For an 'appropriate and valuable reindk, therefore, it is folly to ob ject, because it is another's interest to dispose of it. 'Co the invalid the important consideration is simply this, "Will I be benefited, by the pu ck,. id' the article offered?" The invalid ,boold inquire into the testimony presented to establish its value; the testimony ,th o ,,id be carefully investigated, and just so much credit given to it, and no more, than it deserves. If of a personal character, we should look to the respectability of the witnesses, and the opportu nity which they hove had for an observ a ti on of the facts, and the probable impartiality, and con sequent trutlifidness, of their statements. Car roborut ing statements of o number of respectable witnesses to the truth of any filet, may amount to irresistible evidence. No might enter into a detailed account of the study and labor incident to its preparation—of the scientific principles upon which it is based— orthe necest.ity which exists, in the very nature or the eon:pound, fur effecting immediate cures in almost ev,,ry instance—and of the character and t.•:1 ay of the witnesses who have tes tified to the maishing cures which it has inva riably perforate:l. We might enumerate other cases, and rite the testimony or others, and in deed weary our reader with repetitions of eases. This we deem unnecessary, and shall there're confine ourselves to a selection of a few of those whose characters and standing in the community are well kec.wn, and whose positions gave then the opportunity or testing the value of the Prize Core. Now we know that an announcement similar to the above meets the eye of the reader almost dai ly, and perhaps this may be classed with many others. But listen or you do us injustice. It is claimed that Pulvermacher's Electric Chain, is the only magnetic remedical agent that is secured by Indent, granted by this government, on the ground that it was a strictly useful and scientific article. The Chains are now on exhibition at the Crystal Palace, and attract much attention front the thousands who thdly visit it. NODE Oh USE. The manner of using the chains is very simple. The chain is first laehaened with common rinsigar, and then one end of the chain is applied to • the part where the pain is located, 1.1 the other cud oppeette to the tired. The ends of the chain should never touch each other. At the moment of ap plication, the most orate rain is instantly relieved, wherever it is located, by the passing through the part a cutmtant current of uninterrupted olectro magnetism. In the following diseases, no other remedy hits ever given such complete and perfect satislaetion to the patient as Pulvertnache r ts Chains: Rheumatism, Painful and swelled Joints, Pains in the Beek, Deafness, Blindness, Paraly sis, Neuralgia in the Face, Long standing Ner vous Beadatche, Palpitation of the Heart, Gener al Debility, Dyspepsia, Female Diseases,Astina, Contracted Toints, 1060 DOLLARS will be given to any person who will produce so many well authenticated certificates of cure f'roln intelligent patios '4 and scientific physicians, of the above discus., as has been performed by the use of the Electric,Chnin during the past year. ANOTHER lAA OT. It is truly the fact that wherever the electric chains have been introduced, bottled nostrums and , common lard have greatly diminished in sale, pruple having become disgusted with the pr./mire of using their stomachsJor drug shops. RECOMMENDATIONS. The Electric Chains are highly recommended by Professors Mott, Van Buren, Post and Cara°. chan, of New York; are also in daily use in every Hospital in that city. The chains will last for pars, urn always ready for use, and produce no injurious results, when used as directed. FEMALE DISEASES. The introduction oldie Electric Chain into this country is the dawn of a new era in medicine,— During the last twenty years, it can safely he es timated that ten thousand females hare died year ly front this one disease, PROLAPSE'S UTERI. It is well known to medical men that this com mon disease is beyond the re.ich of medicine, and that in proportion to the amount of medial. giv en, the more the patient is doomed to sulfur, and amulet wilt death close the scene. During the last 2 years more than ore thousand cases of Peo!ans.,. Uteri (billing of the wotuh) have been permanetitly cured in England aud France. Most of those cases were ladies of high standing, who had previously tried all other kinds of treatment with no benefit. Among the distin guished ladies that have been cured in Paris is the present Queen of France. In this country ; du ring the last year, one lamdred Cases have been cured its the city of New York, many who have allowed their names to be published for the bene fit of those suffering with similar complaints.— The mode of use is simply to apply one end of :a 30 link chain to the spine just above the hips, and the other end upon the abdomen, and allow the chain to remain for one hour. This to be repeat d four times during the twenty-foie• hours. CHRUNLU ItRLUMATISM .The Electric Chains never fail to relieve the serere pains and swelling incident to this disease. 'rho worst !bents of this disease readily yield to n few . applications of a chain, and in no single in hiallCO have they failed to give instant relief, if they did not (Alba a permanent core. All persons who are victims of this usual winter complaint, are kindly invited to call and obtain a pamphlet of lIOIIACEI W. SMITH, Agent for Elan- , tingdon county, who will also explain their mode of use.
