Weakness. Pain in the Loins, Affections
and all those peculiar affections

of both sexes, whirls if not cured, produces con
titntionsi debility, rendering marriage impossi
ble. and in the end destroys both Mind and Body.
Young Men especially, who have become the
victims of Solitary Vice, that dreadful and des
tractive habit which annually sweeps to an un
timely grave thousands ofyoung men of the most
exal,cd talents and brilliant intellect, who might
lthet wise have entranced listening senates with
the :Minders of eloquence, or waked to ccatacy

Married persons, or those contemplating mer

immediately consult Dr:J., and be restored to
perfect health.

TAKE :k.Torice.—Dr. Johnston's office is in his

Dr. Johston, member of the Royal College of
Surgeons. London, graduate from one of the
most eminent Colleges of the United States, and
the greater part of whose life has been spent in
the Hospitals of London, Paris Philadelphia, and
elsewhere. has effected some of the most aston
ishing cotes that were ever known, many trou
bled with ringing in the cars and head when
asleep, great nervousness, being alarmed at sud
den sounds, and bashfulness, with frequent blush
ing attended sometimes with derangement of
mind, were cured immediately.
A Csmratx Dtseooe.—lt is a melancholy fact
that thousands fall victims to this horrid disease
owing to the unskilfulness of ignorant pretenders
who by the use of that deadly poison Mercury,
ruin the Constitution, causing the most serious
symptoms of that dreadful disease to make their
appearance, such as affections of the bead, nose,
throat, skin, etc., progressing with frightful ra
pidity till death puts a period to their dreadful
suffering, by sending them io that Bourne whence
no traveler returns.
TARE PARTICULAR NOTICE.—Young men who
have injured themselves by a certain practice in
dulged in when alone—a habit ftequently learned
front evil companions, or at school—the effects
of which are nightly felt, even when asleep, and
if not cured readers marriage impossible, and de
stroys both mind and body.
What a pity that a young man, the hope aids
country, and the dueling of his parents should be
snatched from nil prospects and enjoyments of
life by the consequence of deviating from the path
of nature and indulging in to certain secret habit.
Such persons before contemplating Marriage,
should reflect that a sound mind and body are
the most necessary requisites to promote connu
bial happiness, Indeed without these, the jour
ney thraugh life becomes a weary pilgrimage,
the prospect hourly. darkens to the view; the
mind becomes shadowed with despair, and tilled
with the melancholy reflection, that the happiness
of another becomes blighted with our nice.
CONSTITUTIONAL DINIIIIITY.—Dr. J. address

selves by private and improper indulgence.

Digestive Functions, General Debility Symptoms
of Consumption, &c.

much to be dreaded; Loss of memory, Confusion
of iiltos, Depression of Spirit, Evil Forbodings;
Aversion to Society, Self Distrust, Love of Soli

Thousands of persons of all ages, ean nowjudgo

CELEBRATED GERMAN BITTERS,
Prepared by
DR. C. 11. JACKSON,
AT THE GERMAN MEDICINE, STORE,

Their power over the above diseases is not ex

the United States, as the cures attest, in many
cases afte!skillal physicians had failed.

Possessing great virtues in the rectification
of diseases of the Liver and lesser glands, exer
tLising the most searching powers in weakness and
affections of the digestive organs, they are withal,
safe, certain and pleasant.
READ AND BE CONVINCED.
From the " Boston Bee."
The editor said, Dec. 22nd
Dr. flooflares 'Celebrated German Bitters for
the cure of Live, Complaint, Jaundice, Dyspepsia,
Chronic or Nervous Debility, is deservedly one of
the must popular medicines of the day. These
Bitters have been used by thousands, and a friend
at our elbow says he had himself received an effec
tual and permanent cure of Liver Complaint from
the use of this remedy. We are convinced that,
in the use of these Bitters, the patient constantly
gains strength and vigor—a fact worthy of great
consideration. They are pleasant in east and
smell, and can be used by persons with the most
delicate stomachs with safety, under any circum
stances. We are speaking from experience, and
to the afflicted we advise their use.
"SCOTT'S WEEKLY, "
one of the best Literary
papers published, said Aug. 25
'‘Dtt. BOOPLAND'S GER3IAN BITTERS, menu
factored by Dr. Jackson, aro now recommended
by some of the most prominent members of the
faculty as an article of much efficacy in cases of
female weakness. As such is the case, we would
advise all mothers to obtain a bottle, and thus save
themselves much sickness. Persons of debilitated
constitutions will find these Bitters advantageous
to their health, as we know from experience the
salutary effect they hove upon weak systems."
MORE EVIDENCE,
The Hon. C. 1). HINELINE, Mayor of the city
of Camden, N. J., says
44 1100FLAND 7 8 GERMAN BITTERB.-Wl3 have
seen many flattering notices of this medicine, and
the source from which they came induced us to
make inquiry respecting its merits. From inqui
ry we were persuaded to use it, and mast say we
found it specific in its action upon diseases of the
liver and digestive organs, and the powerful in
ifluence it exerts upon nervous prostration is real
y surpristing. It calms and strenghtens the nerves
bringing theta into a state of repose, making sleep
refreshing e
"HEW; medicine was more generally used, we
are satisfied there would he loss sickness, as from
the stomach, liver, and nervous system the great
majority of real and imaginary diseases emanate.
Have them in a healthy condition, and you can
bid defiance to epidemics generally. This extra
ordinary medicine we would advise our friends
who are at all indisposed, to give a trial—it will
recommend itself. It should, in fact, be in every
family. No other medicine can produce such ev
idences of merit.
Evidence upon evidence has been received (like
the foregoing) front all sections of the Union, the
also three years, and the strongest testimony in its
favor, is, that there is more of it used in the prac
tice of the regular Physicians of Philadelphia, than
all other nostrums combined, a fact that can easily
bo esablished, and fully proving that a scientific
preperution will meet with their quiet approval
whets presented even in this form.
That this Medicine will cure Liver Complaint
and Dyspepsia, no one can doubt after using it as
directed. It acts specifically upon the stomach and
liver; it is preferable to calomel in all bilious dis
eases—the effect is immediate. They can bo ad
ministered to female or infant with safety and re
liable benefit at any time.
