Ireland--Good Symptoms. The linen manufacture is about being established on an extensive scale in Gal way, and a better race of landlords will im prove and pacify the country whether there be legislation or not. EcceSignum. A BELFAST LANDLORD IN TIPPERA RY.—The Tipperary Vendictor and Lim erick Reporter has an interesting account of an entertainment given to the tenants on the lands of Clonboo, Dorryloughter, and Toher, near the town of Templemore, in the County of Tipperary, by their land lord Mr. Graham, hat manufacturer Brigde Street, Belfast. The lands in question formed part of the estates of the Earl of Carrick, and were purchased; last spring, in the Encumbered Estates Court, by Mr. Graham. On this occasion having gone to meet his tenantry, Mr. Graham enter tained them at an elegant repast at the re sidence of his agent, Mr. Dudley Bycne, to which eighty six persons sat down. On the removal of the cloth, toasts succeeded,. and Mr. Graham was honored with a bump er and "nine times nine," and a similar compliment was conferred on Mrs. Graham, Dancing succeeded, and was kept up with spirit, as usual; in that region of high spir its and light heels, till after four o'clock in the morning, when the company separa ted after three hearty cheers for the host. The "Irish Party," now disclaiming those who have taken office, will only be the More resolute against the government that has gained them, considering, as men say, that those who seduced them are as bad as' themselves. This will keep the government on their sharps on the one side, while Disraeli and the Tories will "flap" them on the other. But the new purchasers of estates, encouraging the far mers, being mostly f a class that can sym pathise better with them than the "high and dry" scions of the aristocracy, who knows more of the sinks of Paris, or the hells of Baden or the styes of Naples than of the Tipperary or Mayo peasantry and their privations, will spread content and peace through Ireland. EBLANESIB. A Coquette's Account of Herself. I am, you. must know, a young woman whose whole dependence is on my person and acoomp:ishment; and as I would will ingly be married to a man of fortune, de.; s3ription of both may be necessary. In the first place, I have a sweet figure, char ming teeth, the finest eyes in the world, my face has a good deal of wholesome flesh and blood about it, and I fancy my self with• a• constitution little favorable to the Phy,sician.—Then as for accomplish ments, I can sing all the songs in Norma, like a Labord or Trufli, have a natural taste for , eatravaganee and pleasure, and am pftsuainnately fond of running in debt. I am in a strict sense of the word, a be witching girl, and happily calculated to break a husband's heart. If any gentleman therefore, has the least inclination to be made miserable and a beggar, he can by no means apply to any person more devo ted tolis, service. But then I °spot set tlements pretty considerable. For making a man unhappy, I could not thirik of less than two thousand' a year, though fifteen hundred might possibly be accept de from a commoner. You may perhaps, laugh at hearing me make-a man miserable' who shall honor me with his hand us an argument in my favor; but you do not re member that the univesrsal custom is, the mire fashionable it must bo considered; and that making each other wretched is ono of the accomplishments among a cer tain people of distinction. Not but that I can preserve appearances tolerably well; I could say my life, to my husband, at the same time I was winking at another man in the company: and call him a dear creature! at the very time I thought him the great est brute in the universe. YANKEE Durrrallo.—Nonaying sub scribers are thus talked to by an American editor : Wagons cannot run without wheels —boats without steam—or a newspaper be carried on without .funds, no more than a dog can wag his tail when he has none.— Our subscribers arc all good, but what does a man's goodness do when it don't do you any good i We have no doubt that every one thinks that all have paid except him, and that we are olever fellows, and this is a small matter, aad will make no difference. It would not, if it were confi ned to a dozen or a hundred cases, but when the slow fever seizes too many, the complaint is altogether too general.
