Also, that in the 14th section of the net of As sembly entitled nn "Act relating to executions and for other purposes," approved April 16, 1840, it is enacted that the aforesaid 13th section "shall not be construed as to prevent any militia officer or borough officer from serving as judge, inspec tor, or clerk, orrery general or special election in this Commonwealth." Pursuant to the provisions contained in the 67th section in the act aPiresaid, the judges of the afore said districts shall respectively take charge of the certificate or return of the election of their respec tive districts, and produce them at a meeting of one judge from each district, at the Court House in the Borough of Huntingdon, on the third day after the day of the election, being for the present year on FRIDAY, the 17th of October next, then and there to du and perform the duties required by law of said judges. Also, that where a judge by sickness or unavoidable accident, is unable to attend said meeting of Judges, then the certificate of return aforesaid shall be taken charge of by one of the inspectors or clerks of the election of sold district, and shall do and perform the duties re quired of said judge unable to attend.
