SILVER'S MINERAL PAINTS
The wonder of the age, nature's own produc
tions. These Paints differ from all others in the
market; they are not clays; they regnire little Oil,
flow easily, and cover with a heavier hotly than
white lend. They neither crack nor peel, end dry
readily. making. an ENAMEL OF STONE.
COLOAS—We hare Seven different colors, viz :
three Browns, two Chocolates, 13Iark and Yellow,
and by combination make every variety and shndc
of color.
BODY.—Them nrc superior in body (or
covering property) to toy yet discovered, and
conhd for ponud will cover double the sorthee of
while lead, ;tine, or other metallic Paints.
I 11024. —To Iron they furnish a perfect protec
tion against razit, for they contain no octal, which
like white h.tvl sets destructively on the irn; in
fact this Paint makes iron doubly valuable for
building purposes.
BRU7K Womt.—They give to house walls a
much heavier costing dm other paints, and if
sanding is required, nothing holds so firmly or
finishes so well with it.
OLD HOOFS:Giee us a roof, never so old and
leaky, Silver's Mineral Paints will make it cheap
ly new and more enduing than it ever was.
Sums using this extraordinary Mineral as we
prepare it for them, will be proof against the ac
tion of hot suns worms and suit water.
CAPITA LISTS and flu (,(ices are invited to
rrutke strict scrutiny into the merits of these
.Paints. They will find a very great reduction
might be made in the cost of painting. These
Paints ere purely mineral; all clays and other
impurities are washed out in preparing them for
the market. They cost but half the price of white
lead, and the smut. quantity will cover twice the
outface, and last six times as long, which in tact
reduces the price to one-twelfth. Climate has no
effect on this Paint, and is equally valuable in the
cold Canadas or our sunny Florida.
DlREottoNs.--Use Linseed Oil, mix as thick
as you can, and use as other paints. These Paints
need but little dryer, and thy priming and second
coating in all housework they will be found thr
cheaper and more durable than lead.
Dealers and consumers can procure this Paint

"It is seldom that we recommend what are

and which has met the hearty approval of the fac

kvidence upon evidence has been received (like
aeforegoing) from all sections of the Union, the

favor, is, that there is more of it used in the prac

all other nostrums combined, a fact that can easily
be csablished, and fully proving that a scientific
prepenttion will meet with their quiet approval
when presented !,von in this forte.

SCiENTVIC EVIDENCE!
BARON LEIBIG in his celebrated work on
Animal Chemistry, says: "An Artificial Diger;
live Fluid, analogous to the Gastric Juice, may
be readily prepared utau the meat and eggs, will
be softened, changed, and digested, just in the
same manner as they would be in the human
stomach."
Dr. COMBE, in his valuable writings on the
"Physiology of Digestion," observes that "a
dinmaition of the due quantity of the Gastric
Juice is n prominent and all-prevailing cause of
Dyspepsia;" and he states that "a ditinguished
professer of medicine in London, who was severe
ly afflicted with this complaint, finding everything
else to fail, hail recourse to the Gastric Juice, ob
tained from the stomachs of living animals, which
proved completly successful."
Dr. GRAHAM, author of the famous works
on "Vegetable Diet„" says : "It is a remarkable
fact in physiology, that the rtomachs of animals,
macerated in water, impart to the fluid the prop
erty of dissolving various articles of food, and of
effecting a kind of artificial digestion of them in
no wise different from the natural digestive pro
cess."
