A Vote to be Rei In the State Senate, on Thursday, the Appro priation Bill being under consideration, Mr. CAROTHERS moved to amend the 24th section, by reinstating the appropriation of $lO,OOO to the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, stricken out by the Senate Committee, which was disagreed to by a vote of years 10, nays 20. Several other motions were made to insert re duced appropriations for the same object, but they were all disagreed to. Mr. Mvnits then moved to amend by inserting the division as it stood in the Honso bill, making an appropriation of $lO,- 000, oue-half to the Western PennsylVanie Hos pital, and the remainder to the Sisters of Mercy, of the county of Allegheny. On this motion the years and nays were taken, and resulted as follows: YEAS—Messrs. Daily, Bogus, Mliutrie, Myers and Robertson-5. NATS—Messrs. Brooke, Bttckalew y Cnrothers, Carson, Crabbe, Cunningham, Fernon, Freiley, Frick, Felton, Guernsey, Hoge, Ives, Jones, Kon igmacher, M'Caslin, Malone, Muhlenbcrg, Packer, Sanderson, Snvery, Shimer, Walker and Matthi as Speaker-25. So the motion was not agreed to, and never was a more shameful propositicn negatived inn leg islative body. Mail Bobber Arrested We learn that Col. Such a bill has been introduced ; but General Packer is not entitled to the credit of it. It was read in place by John B.
