J.H.Scuuccu,. —DettiStr,—l am induced from a sense of juotice towards; you, tie will at duly to the public, to make known one of the most bowiess end extraordinary curio, in my' 01011 person, that you have ever had the pleasure' to record. Indeed, I regret my inability to pot , ' tray, in truthful colors, my consenting disease" and the remarkable chance which Schneck't Pulmonary syrup effected in so short 'a time. I was taken some time previous to Decernbe? 1848, with a heavy cold, producing incessant' coughing, accompanied with acute pain in the tight ride, pains in the back, under the right shoulder, having heavy night sweats, high lever's' &c., which made me so nervous and reviles, as produe, utter prostration. AII these affliction. increased with such violence, that on the 4th of Jativary last I sent for my family physician. 110 attended me faithfully, and prescnbed every thing that medical skill could stiggeot, litit without ef fect. I found myself gradually growing w3ree, and my hopes of recovery lessening as my die ease increased. My cough became distreseind; my print severe; sad, extremely debilitated, I lost all ambition in life, and gave up to a melon. choly dip erasion. My physician examined me, and informed me I had an Misese on the upper part of my liver and lower part of one of my lungs. Notwithstanding all thiitekill.l grew worse, but with that tenacity with which we all cling to life ' I concluded to I. aye noticing undone, and called in a consulting physician, who fully conch tied with my own, and pronounc e d my race an treinely critical one. lie thoneht I was in minent danger--aa3 ing my disease "was one the to seldom if ever cured." All thi. time I woe en du. int; suffering. thet mnde burdensome; ex periencing great pain in coughing ; ex room tine from a pint to a quartiof mulct-true matter every 21 11111116, and gradually sinking under the weakoine . ptogress of my disease. AL this stage of my i !neer., my fricirds in l'a Wel suggested the use of Schneck s Pulmonic Syrup bulimic.. ing the many expedients resorted t o fur t h e ", pose of draining money from the afflicted, t hea. tutted. My friends, however, insisting, I wan prevailed upon to try its virtues. I commenced taking the Syrup about the first of March. and used several bottle- before I had any confidence in it. I then began to experience a charge for the better, and continued it till I had consumed ten bottles, when I wae co fur relieved as to be able to visit Dr. Schneck in Philodelphie. He examined me, and pronounced my right lung of. reined, but in a healing con !Mon. He recom mended the further use of the Syrup, vihich I continued till I consumed 15 bott les, end found my eel( ()nee more restored tic health. I will fur. ther add, that the consulting physician. eeeing the action of the medicine, fully approved ita use. To give the reader some idea of the severity of my case, and the rapid cure affected by the :Syrup, I will State that icy usual weight in health wag 177 pounds, which woe finally re duced by my sufieringe to but 121 pounds. Yet, on the first of thin month, (September,) I weigh ed 174 pounds, thus gaining in a few months 53 pounds, and within three pounds of my heaviest weight. It is not in my power to convey, in the hurt space of title certificate, the convincing proofs of my remarkable cure, of the ; articular. of the ai,onizing efflictions through which I have posed; but to those who will take the trouble to call on rim, at Bristol, opposite Prates hotel, I shall take pleasure in detailing every particular. In conclusion, I derm it my duty to urge upon every person who may hove the premonitory symptoms of this fate' disease, not to deity one hour, but to cell upon Dr Schneck diately- His skill in the treetiirent of this complaint. and prompt detection of diseased parts of the lungs by means of hill Stetliescope, added to my own mirocu sue cure, fully setisfiesme, that hod I vet lier submitted myself to his core, I should have escaped much sulfrtimg ; but restrained by doubts and suspicion, which make us all naturally ekep, tient in regard to the virtue. of a medicine when firer introduced. I resisted the importunitiee of my friends till almost too late ; and yielded only as s lost resort, resolved to kill or cure." To those afflicted an I have been, again let me nay, hesitate. no longer, trey awn eerie is presented to you or convincing evidence, that when all else fail, your last hope is in Dr, Schneek's Pulmonie Syrup.
