IDRIE Roar's Vegetable Universal Pills, The only known Medicine that at the same time purges, purifies and strengthens the system. LONDON, July 7, 1846. TAIL LE ROY'S Pills are a new medicine which I) has just appeared, and infest taking the places of all others of the same class. These pills are composed of many ingredients, but the two princi pal ones are Sarsaparilla and Wild Cherry, no uni ted that they act together; the one, through it admixture with other substances, purifying and purging, while the other is strengthening the sys tem. Thus those pills are at the same time tonic and opening; a desideratum long and eagerly sought for by medical men, but never before dis covered. In other words they do the work of twe medicines, and do it much better than any two we know of; for they remove nothing from the system but the impurities; so that while they purge they strengthen; and hence they cause no debilitation, and are followed by no reaction. Dr. Le Roy's pills have a wonderful influence us the blood; they not only purify without weakening it, but they re move all noxious particles from the chyle before it is converted into fluid, and thus make impure blood an utter impossibility. As there to no debit itation, so there is no nausea or sickness attending the operations of this most excellent of medicines which never strains or tortures the digestive func tioncbutcauses them to work in a perfectly natur al manner; and hence persons taking them do not become pale and emaciated, but the contrary ; for while it is the property of the Sarsaparilla, united as it is with other ingredients, to remove all that is foreign and impure, it is equally the property of the Wild Cherry to retain all that is natural and sound; and hence a robust state of health is the certain result of their united operations. pi-Price 25 Cents per BOX. • AGENTS.—T. The Eighth Wonder f the It orld MANY who have witnessed the extraordinary cures effected by the genuine Wistar's Bab Baru of Wild Cherry seem disposed to regard it as the Eighth Wonder of the World ! Why, ' say they t "the Wild Cherry Bark and the Iceland Moss, (the two chief ingredients of this wonderful compound,) have been prescri bed from time immemorial by the best physi, lane —but, never, before, have cures so extraordinary been performed." The reason is obvious. The proprietors of Wis. tar's Balsam of Wild Cherry do not china for their highly celebrated article any far-fetched, mys terious, miraculous power. They have openly ac knowledged the simple nature of its ingredients, and only claim for their great and invaluable dig-, covery the exclusive secret of QTHAT JUDICIOUS COMBINATION.O) of ingredients which go to make up this richest of curative compounds. The most skillful and scientific physicians now prescribe this medicine in their practice; while neglected Doctors, of little practice, arid mean con tracted minds although they do all their curlish spirits can do to insure this—the people's favorite medicine—they are at the same time compelled to acknowledge its innocent qualities• We know the medicine is us UN lass, and all the world is witness that the medicine canes. A very important disease over which this Bal sam courts a powerful influence, is that of a DI S.• EASED LITER. In this complaint it has undoubt edly proved more efficacious than any other rem edy employed. The use of this Balsam restored the Liver to healthy action, and in many cases ef fected permanent cures, after Mercury and every other remedy had failed. ASTHMA is a complaint in which this Balsam has been extensively used, and with perfect success in proof of which read the following important letter from Georgia. We are daily receiving testimony like the fol lowing from the North, south, East and West: Messrs. Reese & Ware: Gentlemen—l was afflicted with Asthma for fourteen years, and had tried every remedy in the country. I had also been to several physicians and found no relief whatever. I was affected at times so severely, that the blood would gush from my nose, and my breathing was difficult. Indeed, the disease had gained so much on my health that I despaired of ever getting well, when I chanced to get a bottle of Wietar's Balsam of Wild Cherry, which effect ed a perfect cure, and I now consider myself per fectly eonnd. This eau be proved by numbers of men in Franklin county arid vicinity, and I think it my duty to let it he known. THOMAS A. PATRICK Franklin co., Ga., Nov. 19, 1896. IDRead the following from Dr. Jacob Hoffman, a physician of extensive prac tice in Huntingdon county : Dear Sir :—I procured one bottle of Dr. Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry, from Thomas Read, Esq., of this place, and tried it in a case of obstinate Asth ma on a child of Paul Schweble, in which many other remedies had been tried without any relief. The balsam gave sudden relief, and in my opinion the child is effectually cured by its use. Yours, Sze., JACOB HOFFMAN, M. D. Dec. 23 , 184.1. l'rice $l per bottle—six bottles for $5. For sole by J. CLICKENEWS SUGAR-COATED PILLS, The Only Effectual Purgative, cured within the last year Cincinnntti OVER 200,000 PERSONS of the following Complaints: Headache, Giddiness, Rheumatism, Piles, Dia pepsia, Scurvy, Smallpox, Jaundice, Pains in the Back, Inward Weakness, Palpitation of the Heart, Rising in the Throat, Dropsy, Asthma, levers of all kinds, Female Complaints, Measles, Salt Rheum Heartburn, Worms, Cholera Morbus, Coughs, Quinsy, Whooping Cough, Consumption, Fits, Liver Complaint, Erysipelas, Deafness, Itchinge of the Skin, Colds, Gout, Gravel, Nervous Com plaints, and a variety of other diseases arising from impurities of the blood, and obstructions in the or gans of digestion. Experience has proved that nearly every disease originates from Impurities of the Blood or Derange ments of the Digestive Organs; and to secure Health, we must remove those Impurities and re store the blood to its natural state. Therefore, when the slightest derangement of the system is indicated by Costiveness, or any other sign, it ad monishes us that superfluities are gathering in the System, which should be immediately removed by an effectual purging. This fact, as stated, is uni- versally known; but people have such an aversion to medicine, that, unless the case urgent, they pre ferred the dinette to the cure, generally. Since the invention, however, of Odom's Vegetable Purgative Pills, this objection does not exist, as they are completely enveloped with a coaling of. pure white sugar (as distinct from the internal ingredients as a nut shell from the kernel) have no taste of medicine, and are as easily swallowed as bits of candy.— Moreover they neither neaueeate or gripe in the slightest degree. They operate equally on all the diseased parts of the system, instead of confining themselves to, and racking any particular region. Thus, for example, if the Liver be affected, one in gredient will operate on that particular organ, and, by cleansing it of that Excess of Bile it is con stantly discharging into the stomach, restore it to its natural state. Another oe wteredill en the Blood, end , remove those impurities *hid Nave ol ready entered into its circulation ; while a third will effectually expel ft., m the system whatever im purities may hove been discharged into the stom ach ; and hence they Strike at the Root of Disease, Remove all Ire pure Humors; open the pores ex' ternally and internally ;. promote the Ineensible Perspiration, obviate Flatulency, Headache, &c.; separate all foreign and obnoxious particles from• the chyle, secure a free and healthy action to the Heart, Lungs, and Liver, and thereby restore health even when all other means have foiled. The entire truth of the above can be ascertained by the trial of a single box ; aud their virtues are so positive and certain in restoring Health that, the proprietor binds himself to return she money paid for them in all cases where they do not give uni , versa satisfaction.
