SUGAR-COATED PILLS,
The Only Effectual Purgative,
cured within the last year
OVER 200,000 PERSONS
of the following Complaints:
Headache, Giddiness, Rheumatism, Piles, Dis
pepsin, Scurvy, Sinai pox, Jaundice, Pains in the
Hack, Inward Weakness, I'alpitatiun of the Heart,
Rising in the Throat, Dropsy, Asthma, Fevers of
all kinds, Female Complaints, Measles, Salt Rheum
Heartburn, Worms, Cholera Nimbus. Coughs,
Quinsy, Whooping Cough, Consumption, Fits,
Liver Complaint, Erysipelas, Deafness, Itchings of
the Skin, Colds, Gout, Gravel, Nervous Com
plaints, and a variety of other diseases arising from
impurities of the b ood, and obstructions in the or
gans of digestion.
Experience has proved that nearly every disease
originates from Impurities of the Blood or Derange
ments of the Digestive Organs; and to secure
Health, we must remove those Imps ities and re
store the blood to its natural state. Therefore,
when the slightest derangement of the system is
indicated by Costiveness, or any other sign, it ad
monisheu us that supertluniee are gathering in the
System, which shou d be immediately removed by
en effectual purging. This fact. as elated, is uni
versally known; but people have such en aversion
to medicine, that, unless the case urgent, they pre
ferred the disease to the cure, generally. Since the
invention, however, of
Clickener's Vegetable Purgative Pills,
this objection does not exist, as they are completely
enveloped with a coaling of pure while Sugar
(as distinct from the internal ingredients as a nut
shell from the kernel) hate no lade of medicine,
and are as easily swallowed as bits of candy.—
Moreover they neither ncauseale or gripe in the
slightest degree. They operate equally on all the
diseased parts of the system, instead of confining
themselves to, and racking any particular region.
Thus, for exarrp'e, if the Liver be affected, one in
gredient will operate on that particular organ, and,
by cleansing it of that Excess of Bile it ie con
stantly discharging into the stomach, restore it to
its natural state. Another will operate on the
Blood, and remove those impurities which have al
ready entered into its circulation; while a third
will effectually expel fr, in the system whatever im
purities may have been discharged into the atom
, ach ; and hence they
Strike at the Root of Disease,
Remove all Impure Humors; open the pores ex
ternally and internally ; promote the Insensible
Perspirstion, obviate Flatulency, Headache, &c.,
separste all foreign and obnoxious particles from
the chyle, secure a free end healthy action to the
tleart, Lungs, and Liver, and thcreby restore
health even when all ollscr means have fasted.
The entire truth of the above can he ascertained
by the trial of a single box ; and their virtues are
so positive and certain in restoring Health that, the
propietor binds himself to rout, the money paid
for them in all cases where they do not give uni
verse! satisfaction.

.......
We ask the attention of the candid to
a few considerations.
Nature in every part of her works,
has left indelible marks of adaptation
and design.
The constitution of the animals and
vegetables of the torid zone, is such that
they could not endure the cold of the
frigid zone, and vice versa. in regard to
disease and its cure, the adaptation of
remedies is not less striking.
The Moss of Iceland and the pine
r and Wild Cherry are justly celebrated
for the cure of all diseases of the Lungs
and Liver, which are so fearfully preva
lent in all Northern latitudes, From a
combination of Chemical Extracts pro
cured from this 'Moss' and those 'Trees'
WISTAR'S BALSAM OF WILD CHERRY

[From Dr. Daher, Springfield, Washington coun
ty, Ky•]
Ky , May 14, 1845.
Messrs. Sanford & Park take this oppor
tunity of informing you of a most remarkable
cure performed upon mo by the use of Dr. Wis.
tar's Balsam of Wild Cherry.
In the year 1840 1 was taken with an inflaina
lion of the bowels, which I labored under for six
weeks, when I Gradually recovered. In the fall
of 1841, I was attacked with a severe cold, which
netted itself upon my lungs, and for the space of
three years I war confined to my bed. I tried all
kinds of :nedicinces, and every variety of medical
aid, without benefit; and thus I wearied along un
tit the winter of 1845 ,when I heard of WISTAH'S
BALSAM OF WILD CHERRY.
My friends persuaded me to give it a trial,
though 1 had given up all hopes of recovery, rind
had prepared myself for the change of another
world. Through their solicitations I was induced
to make use of the Genuine Wistar's Balsam of
Wild Cherry. The effect was tru'y astonishing.
After five years of affliction, pain and suffering,
and after having spent four or five hundred dol
lars to no prepuce, and the best and moot respects•
bte physicians had proved unavailing, f wet soon
restored to entire health by the bleesing of God
and the use of Dr. Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cher
ry'
I em now enjoying good health, and such is
my altered appearance, that I am no longer known
when I meet my acquaintances.
I hare gained rapidly in weight, and my flesh
is firm and solid. I can now eat as much as any
•person, and my food seems to e gree with me. I
have eaten more during the last six months, than
I had eaten in five years before.
Considering my case almost as a miracle, I
I deem it necessary for the good of the afflicted, and
a duty I owe to the proprietors and my fellow
men, (who should known where relief may be had)
to make thin statement public.
May lice bl , snings of God rest upon the Froprie
torsof so valuable a medicine as Wistar's Balsam
of Wild Cherry. Yours, Respectfully,
WM. H. BAKER.
BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS.
Those who counterfeit n good medicine for the
purpose of adding a few dollars to their pockets,
are far worse thnn the manufacturers of spurious
coin. For while the latter only rob us of our pro
perty, the former take property, and health and
life away. Dr. Wistur's Balsam of lA'ild Cherry
is admitted by thousands of disinterested witnesses
to have effected the most extraordinary cures in
cases of pulmonary and athmatic character, ever
before recorded in the history of medicine.
The young, the beautiful, the good, all speak
forth its praise. It is now the favorite medicine
in the most inteligetit families of our country.
Such a high stand in public estimation has been
achieved by its own merits alone. And so long as
a discerning public are careful to get lA'istar's
Balsam of Wild Cherry, and refuse with scorn,
counterfeits, and every other attic's proffered to
them as substitutes, so long will cores, positive
cures, cheer the fireside of many a despairing fam
ily.

Vegetable Universal Pill:,

LoritioN, July 7, 1846.
1 . \IL LC ROY'S Pills are a new medicine which
has just appeared, and infest taking the places
of others of the same class. These pills are
corriptised of many ingredienta, but the two prhi c i.
pal ones are Sarsaparilla and Wild Cherry, so uni
ted that they act together; the one, through its
admixtbre with other substances, purifying and
purging, while the other is strengthening the ay,

nought for by medical men, but never before din!
covered. In other words they do the work of ta
medicines, and do it much better than any two we
know of; for they remove nothing from the eyelets
but the impurities; sn that while they purge they
strengthen; and hence they cause no debilitation,
and are followed by no re-action. Dr. Le Itoy's
pills have a wonderful influencer n the blood ; they
not only purify without weakening it. but they re
move all noxious particles from the chyle before it
is converted into fluid, and dabs make impure

ordinary and wonderful medicine in the world.—
. In the short space of two ye ire, it has acquired a
reputation for curing disease and relieving pain far

They speak of it in the highest terms, and com

It is condemned by none. On the cost, ary, its

and it is a fixed fact, and is not disputed, that as a
Pain Extractor it has no equal. For the many
astonishing cures, see the pamphlet, to he had of
each agent. If you sutler with either of the diereses
for which it is recommended, resort at once to its
use and be cured. For the following diseases it is
