The Company add a Bonus at stated periods to
the Insurances for Life. The first bonus woe op
propriated in December. 1844, amounting to ten
par cent. on the sum insured under the oldest poll
cies to 8i per cent., 7 per cent. &c.; on others in
proportion to the time of standing; making an ad
dition of $lOO, $B7 50, $75, &c., on every $l.OOO
originally insured.
The operation of the bonus will be seen by the

1 523 00 paid annually during life, he provide.
$lOOO whenever he dies; for $65 50 they would
