TO SENSIBLE CITIZENS.-W e know
from what we see and feel, that the animal
body is, in its organs and functions, subject
to derangement, inducing pain, and tending
to its destruction. In this disordered state,
we observe nature providing for the re-es-
tablishment of order, by exciting some salu
:my evacuation of the morbific matter, or by
some other operation, which escapes our
imperfect senses and researches. In some
eases she brings on a ct his by the bowels, in
others by sweating, &c. atc.
Now experience has taught us that there
are certain sebstances, by which, applied to
the living body, internally or externally, we
tan at will produce the same evacuations,
and thus do in a short time, what nature
could do but slowly, and do effectually what ;
she might not have strength to accomplish.
When then we have seen a disease cured by
a certain naturalevacuatien, should that dis
ease occur again, we may count upon curing
it by the use of such substances,as we know
bring about the same evacuation, which we
bad before observed to cure a similar disease:
It is in consequence of the power which
the Brandreth Pills exert upon the whole
system, that makes them so universally ben
eficial. It is beefiest they impart to the
body, the power to expel disease without
leaving any evil effect.

No bombastic eulogy is deemed essential
to add to the already acquired celebrity of
this stove. It is necessary, however, to ob
serve that the high reputation this stove has
gained bypradical use, has induced the man
uircturers of other and inferior articles, to
borrow (not to use a harsher term) the name
of HATEAWAT, and prefix it to an "Im
proved," in order to make their inferior
trash go of as genuine, and thereby impose
upon the public. 1, myself, sell the only
aset HATHAWAY stove that it or gas
be sold in this county, and would therefore
admonish the public against the imposition
above alluded to. lam happy in being able
to say, confidently, that during the last the ee
or four years, in which I have been con
stantly dealingin and putting up these stoves,
1 have found them to give universal and
unbounded satisfaction. Any communica
tion in relation to stoves addressed to me at
Lewistown, Mifflin county, (my place of
residence) will meet with the earliest posi
ble attention.
