    SHERIFF'S SALES.
BY virtue of sundry writs of Leeari
Acing and Venditioni Rrponas,
issued out of the Cowl of Common Pleas
of Huntingdon county, anal to me direc
ted, will be exposed to public sale, at the
Court house in the borough of Hunting
don, on Monday the 13th day of November
1893, the following property, viz :
A tract, piece, or parcel of land situate
in the township of West, in the said coun
ty of containing 90 acres, be the same
more Or less—about 60 acres of which are
cleared and cultivated—adjoining land
of William Moore, Robert Moore, Samuel
Musser, William (lake, and other land of
Isaac Neff—having a grist mill, a saw mill,
a good frame dwelling house, a fame store
building, a large nk barn and other
buildings and an apple orchard thereon.
Aldo, a tract, piece or parcel of land
situate in the township of West aforesaid,
containing 125 acres be the same more or
less, adjoining the above and lands of
William Oaks, James My ton, Samuel
!dosser and others—having about 90 acres
cleared thereon—with a log dwelling
house anal a log bank barn thereon erected.
The said tract is good limestone laud and
has a good apple orchard thereon, and is
.known by the name of "rime Boyd Farm'
Also, a tract of unseated land in said
township of West, containing 360 hues,
Da the same more or less, surveyed on a
warrant in the name of William Bracken,
dated 2d November A. D. 1784—purchas
ed from Nancy Knight.
Also, about 20 acres of good land, more
or less, 12 of which are cleared and culti
vated, adjoining n Wilson's Too n" in the
said township of West,.and land of John
Henry, John Stryker and others.
Also, the one undivided half part of a
lot or piece of ground in "Wilson's town"
aluresaid, situate on the south eastern side
of the great road leading fauna Nell" a Mill
to Petersburg—containing about 2 acres,
adjoining lands of John Stryker and a lot
of Joseph Thompson—having thereon
erected a two story frame dwelling house
and a frame stable—purchased from Jacob
Hullman.
Also, the one undivided half part of a
piece or parcel of land, situate in said
Wilson's fawn, composed of S adjoining
lots—situate on the north westerly side of
the said road, bounded by William Reed's
land, a lot of Adam Ilolltnan's heirs, and
a lot of Joseph Reynolds, containing about
of an acre, with a wagon maker's shop
and some apple trees thereon.
Also, the one undivided half part of a
small piece or parcel of land situate in
said Wilson's 'I own, on the south easterly
aide of said road, bounded by a lot of An
drew liollman's heirs, and - other land of
Isaac Neff heretofore described, contain•
ing about of an acre—with a blacksmith
shop thereon.
Also, the one undivided half part of a
lot piece or parcel of land lying in said
Wilson's Town, on the north westerly

Also, a lot of ground in the town plot
of the borough of Petersburg in the said
county of Huntingdon, purchased by Isaac
Nett' - from Valerius Armitage—adjoin

set Thompson, containing about one quar
ter of acre.
Also, one acre of timber land purchas
ed from A. H. Drummond, situate in the
said township of West, adjoining lands of
Robert Moore, William Oaks and others.
Seized, taken in execution, and to be
sold as the property of Isaac Nell.

All that certain frame foundry situate
in Duncansville, Allegheny township,
Huntingdon:counly,opposite the new brick
Baptist Church in said town, with the
fround and curtilege appurtenant to said
rame foundry.

All the right and interest of John Grove
in about 500 acres of land, be the same
more or less, situate in Tyrone township,
Huntingdon county, adjoining lands of
James Wilson, Thomas Crisman and
Jacob Fleck's heirs, about 150 acres of
which are cleared, having thereon erected
a small log dwelling house and abarn.
Seized, taken in execution, and to be
sold as the property of John Grove.

All the right title and interest of Oliver
Crisman and Frederick Crissman, Jr. and
each of them, in and to a tract of land sit
rate in Tyrone township, Huntingdon
county, containing 130 acres, be the same
more or less, adjoining lands of Thomas
Crisman, John Fleck and Philip Britten
baugh--having about 60 acres of cleared
land, a log dwelling house, a lug barn, and
an apple orchard thereon— said tract being
date of amid Crissman, dec'd.

Penn's. Canal, bounded on the ft est by
lot of Dr. liautz, and on the East by a
lot of Mrs. Jackson—thereon erected a
two story frame Tavern house,a plaistered
store roam, and a frame stable with a shed
attached.

township, Huntingdon county, bounded

ing 50 acres more or less, SO of which are
cleared and, cultivated, with an old house
and sonic fruit trees thereon.

the hands of Samuel H, Bell, Trustee of
his person and estate.

Franklin township, Huntingdon county,
containing 20 acres and 109 perches and
allowance, adjoining Robert ,Moore, Dan'l

ing thereon erected Elizabeth Forge coal
house, a number of log buildings for the
hands, a two story brick dwelling house,
two stables and brick office.

township, situate on the ‘Varrior ridge,
containing 319 acres 37 perches and al
lowance, surveyed or, a warrant to John
Spencer, dated 22d March 1785.
Also, about 2 acres of ground situate
at the western end of the town of NVater
Street, in Morris township, adjoining other
lots in ‘Vaterstreet, Lewis Mytiuger and
John Shealler's land—having thereon
erected a two story stone dwelling house,
an axe factory with water power previ
lege belonging thereto, and a stable, and
other out buildings.
Also, a lot of ground in Mechanicsburg,
in Franklin township, on the North side
of Spruce creek, adjoining lands of Sane!.
Mitten' and a lot of William MTherran,
containing of an acre, having a small
one and a half story house thereon.

town of Davidsburg, in Antes township,
Huntingdon county, adjoining a lot of
Charles Cornmesaer tin the easterly aide,
and a lot nunnered S 2 in the said town
on the westerly side, (having an alley be•
tween) containing I of an acre, enclosed
with a fence, and numbered 28 in the plan
of said town.

under story thereof stone and the two up
per stories Irame) messuage and tenement,
situate in Hopewell township, in the coun
ty of Huntingdon, and a lot or piece of
ground on the north west side of the
Woodcock Valley road leading from Bed
ford to Huntingdon in front on said road
60 feet and in depth 220 feet, more or
less, it being a lot of ground sold to the
said defendant [Milo 11. Ferry] by John
B. Weaver by articles of agreement dated
25th June 1842, the house thereon erected
is 28 feet long and 24 feet wide, and the
lot or piece of ground and curtilege appur
tenant thereto.

veyed for him by Patrick Galbraith deed,
and the same being not now in the actual

Drake's Ferry, on the south side of the

or devisees of Col. William Postlethwait,

HEREBY GIVEN, that in all cases, when
the purchase money does not exceed
$5O 00, the whole amount of the purchase
must be paid immediately into the hands
of the Sheriff; and if the purchase exceeds
that sum, then the amount (viz : $5O 00,)
must be paid into the hands of the Sheriff
immediately after the property is ttricken
dowl and the payment of the balance ar
ranged with the Sheriff and fully secured
to be paid, to his satisfaction; or else the
property will be again put up and sold.

WHEREAS by precept to me direc
ted dated at Huntingdon, the 19th
day of August, A. D. one thousand eight
hundred and forty, three, under the hands
and seals of the Hon. Abraham S. W i l.
eon, President of the Court of Common
Pleas, Oyer and Terminer, and general
jail delivery of the 2 0th judicial district of
Pennsylvania, composed of the counties
of Huntingdon, Mifflin and Union, and
the lion. Joseph Adams and James Gwin,
his asociates, Judges of the county of
Huntingdon, justices assigned, appointed,
to hear, try, and determine all and every
indictments, and presentments, made or
taken fur or concerning all crimes, which
by the laws of the state are made capital
or felonies of death and other offences,
crimes and misdemeanors, which have
been or shall be committed or perpetrated
within said county, or all persons who are
or shall hereafter be committed or be per•
petrated for crimes aforesaid-1 am coin.

Public Proclamation,
throughout my whole bailiwick that a
Court of Over and Terminer, of Common
Pleas and Quarter Sessions, will be held
at the Court 110n5e,... in the Borough of
Huntingdon, on the second Monday (arid
13th day) of November next, and those who
will prosecute the said prisoners, be then
and there to prosecute them as it shall be
just, and that all Justices of the Peace.
Coroner and Constables within the said
county, be then and there in, their proper
persons, at 10 o'clock A. M. of said day,
with their records, inquisitions, examina
tions and remembrances, to do those
things u hid' to their offices respectively
appertain.

WHEREAS by precept to toe direc
ted by the Judges of the Common
Pleas of the county of Huntingdon, bear
ing test the 19th flay of Aug., A. D. 1843,
1 am commanded to make Public Pro:
donation throughout my whole bailiwick
that a court of Common Pleas will be
held at the court house, in the borough of
Huntingdon, in the county 01 Huntingdon,.
on the third Monday (and 20th day) er
November, A.1).1843, for the trial of all
issues in said court which remain tindeter ,
mined before the said Judges when and
where all Jurors, Witnesses and suitors
in the trial of all said issues are rgquired
to attend.
