of the Court of Common Pleas of Cambria
County, and to me directed, there will be ex
pased to public sale at the Court House, in
Ebensburg, on MONDAY the 5th day of
December next at one o'clock P. M., the

All the right, title and interest of Peter
M'Gough, Esq., of, in and to a piece or par
cel of land situated in Washington township,
Cambria county, adjoining lands of heirs of
John Noel, dec'd, John M'Gough and other?,
containing ono hundred and sixty (160)
acres more or less, about one hundred acres
of which are cleared, having thereon erec
ted a two story log houe, weatherboard
cd, and frame barn, now in the occupancy
of the said Peter M'Gough, Esq.

Abner Schrock, of, in and to a piece or par-,

Cambria county, adjoining lands of Jacob

j percent, per annum principal and interest
j both to be paid in lawful money.
These notes will be convertable at the
i option of the holder at maturity, into six
per cent., gold bearing boDds, payable not
less than five nor more than twenty years
from their date, as the Government may
elect. Thev will be issued in denominations
of $50, $100. $500 $1,000 and $5,000, and
all subscriptions must be for fifty dollars or
some multiple of fifty dollar?.
The notes will be transmitted to the own
ers free of transportation charges as aoon
after the receipt of the original Certificates
j of Deposit as they can be prepared.
As ti.e notes tiraw interest from August
15. persons making deposits subsequent to
that date must pay the iuterest accrued from
date of note to date of deposit.
Parties depositing twenty-five thousand
dollars and upwards for these note at any
time will be allowed a commusioa cf one-
I quarter nf one per cent , which will be
paia ty tne .treasury department npon the
receipt of a bill for the amount, certified to
by the officer with whom it was made. No
deductisns for commissions must be made
from the deposits.
