HOSTETTER'S
STOMGII BITTBK8.
The vropri tors and manufacturers of HOS
TETTER'S CELEBRATED STOMACH BIT
TERS can appeal with perfect confidence to phy
sicians and citizens generally of the United Suites
because the article has attained a reputation
heretofore unknown, A few facts upon this jMjint
will speak more powerfully than volumes of
bare assertions or blazoniag puffery. The cou
sumption of Uostetter's Stomach Bitters fr the
last year amounted to over a half million littles
and from its manittst steady inereasi in times
past, it ii evident that during the coming year
the consumption wfl' reach near one million lot
ties. This immense amount could never have
been sold but for tlie rare medicinal properties
contained in the preperation. aud the sanction, of
the most prominent physicians in those sections
of the country where the article is best kuown.
who not only recommended the Bitters to their
patients, but are ready at all times to give testi
monials to its efficacy in all cass of stomachic
derangements and the diseases resulting therefrom
This is not a temporary popularity, obtained
by extraordinary etforts in the wayrj" trumpet
ing the qualities of the Bitu rs, but a solid esti
mation of an invaluable medicine, which is des
tined to be as enduring as time itself.
Hostetter!s Stomach Bitters have proved a
Godsend to regions where fever and ague and
various other bilious complaints have counted
their victims by hundreds. To be able to state
confidently that the "Bitters" are a certain cure
for the Dy ?pepsi. and like diseases, is to the pro
prietors a source of unalloyed pleasure. It re
moves all morbid matter from the stomach, pu
rities the blood, and imparts renewed vitality
to thu nervous system, giviug it that tone and
energy indispensable for the restoration of health.
It operates, upon the stomach, liver, and other
digestive organs, mildly but powerfully, and
soon restores them to a condition essential to the
healthy discharge of the functions of nature.
Elderly persons may use the Bitters daily as
per directioits'on the bottle, and they will find
iu it a stimulant peculiarly adapted to comfort
declining 3 cars as it b pleasant to the palate,
invigorating to the bowels, excellent as a tonic,
and rejuvenating generally. We have the evi
dence of thousands of aged men and women who
have experienced the benefit of using this prep
aration while suffering from stomach derange
ments and general debility; acting undei the ad
vice cf physicians, they have abandoned all del
eterious druss and fairlv tested the merits of this
article. A lew words to the centler sex. There
are certain periods when their cares are so liar
ra&stng that many of them sink under the trial.
The relation of mother and child is so absorbing
ly tender, that the mother, especially if she be
young, is apt to forget her own health in Ler ex
treme anxiety for her infant. Should the ptriod
of maternity arrive during the summer seison,
the wear of lly and mind is generally aggrava
ted. Here then, is a necessity for a stimulent to
recuperate the energies cf the system, and enable
the mother to bear up under her exhausting tri
als and responsibilities. Nursing mot! era gener
ally prefer the Bitters to all otner invigorators
that receive the endorsement of physicians, be
cause it is agteeable to the taste as well as cer
tain to give a permanent increase of bodyily
strength.
All those persons, to whom we have part:cu
larly referred above, to wit: sufferers from fever
and" ague, caused by malaria, diarrhoea, dysen
tery, indigestion, loss of appetite, and all disea
