This wonderful remedv and was brought to the knowledge of the present proprietors by a friend who has been- a great traveler in Persia and the Holy Land. While going down the river Euphrates, he ex. porieuced a rcre attack of Fever and Aguo Oi discovering his condition, one of the Boat men took Irom his person an Amulet, saying, "Wear tins and no Fecer will touch you." Al though incredulous as to its virtues; he complied, and experienced immediate relief, and has since always f und it an effectual protection from all malarious complaints. On further investigation he found that the boatman attributed to it miraculous powers, and sail that it could only be obtained from the Priests of th Sun. Some time afterwards, the gentleman in conversing with a Priest obtained from him the secret of its "preparation, and as certained where the medicinal herbs were found, of which it was compounded. The wonderful virtues of this article have induced a full belief in the minds of the natives in the miraculous healing powers of their Priests. Since his return to America, it has been tried with the happiest effect by several Ladies and Gentlemen of high character, who have given it the mot-t unqualified praise. This remedy having been a specific in Persia for hundreds of years, for the prevention and cure of Fever and Ague and Bilious Fevers is now offered to the Amer ican people. It will lie sent by mail, prepaid, with full di rections for use, on receipt of oue dollar. 1'rincipal Depot and Manufactory, 188 Main St., Richmond, Va. In Dyspepsia innumerable as are its causes, a single box of theje C.l3-.ctc Pills has of-n sufficed for the mo.t LaLuual cases, including the attendant cWr.i.r. In ti'ieheckcd DIarrl.o a, even wh.cn advanced to DyM.'UU.:y, confirmed emaciating aad appa rently maiignent, the effects have been oiually decisive and astonishing. In the 1'jcal pains, lo.ss of flesh and strength. dcLiiiatihg couyii, and remittent hectic, which generally indicates Incipient Consumption, this remedy has allayed the alarm c f friends and physicians, in several very gratifying and ia-ter-jatiog in-lances. In Scrofulous Tubercr;!sis, this meicat.d iron has had far more than thj good effect of the mokt cautiou-ly balanced preparations of idione. without any of their well known Iiabillities. 1 nc attention of females cannot le too conh- dently invite.1 to this remedy and rcxturailce, in the .aces peculiarly affecting them. In Rheumatism, both Chronic and lunamatory in the latter, however, more decidedly it has been invariably well reported, both as alleviating pain and reducing the -weilings and stifness of ihe joints and muscles. In Intermittent levers it must ncrersanlv be a great remedy and energetic restorative, and its pngress in the new settlements of the ett will probably be oue of high renown aud use- uines. No remedv has ever beeu discovered in the whole his t ory of medicine, w hich exerts such prompt, happy and fully restorative effects. Good appetitte, coTplete digestion, rapid ac quisition of strength, with an unusual disposi tion for active and cheerful exercise, immediate ly follow its use.
