HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES,

THE G RE AT FEATU RE
Of this series of Domestic R medics is that each
particular medicine is a Specific for the partic
ular disease or class eif disease w hose name it
bears, and may be relied upon fvr the cure of
that particular affection. Hence, persons suffer
ing from a chronic disease or long-standing ail
ment, in buying a case of Humphrey's Specifics
obtain tho pa ticular one detircd iu their case,
and thus themselves make a cure which other
wise would cost them many dollars, and no small
amount of time aud medical attendance, if, in
deed, it could be obtained at all.
Thus nuiltitud.es sutler from Dtspfpsia, Bil
ious Cosmtion. CosTivtscss, Sau Tastk,
Coatei Tongue and Debility, which is per
fectly controlled ami cured bv the
DYSPEPSIA SPECIFIC.
There is scarcely a phase or form of this dis
ease which is imt promptly etui trolled and ulti
mately cured by the use of this Specific ll ous
ands who have suilered for years with this
'Bilious Condition" having pure based a case cf
these Specifies, have obtained a perfect cure and
immunity from their oi l complaint.

COUGH PILLS.
Many cases of long standing Bronchitis and irri
tating Coughs have been perfectly cured by this
Speeitic. But more ! many persons have a spe
cilij liability to colds ami take the.n from the
least expot-ure. This will be entirely relieved by
the use of the COUGH TILLS, as scores can
testify from experience. So
CATARRH
is one of our most common and most troublesome
diseases, against- which the Old School Medicines
anel even Homeopathic prescriptions, arcof veiy
little use. Yet hunelreels of persons have been
cured of not only recent and fresh, but even long
standing ami obstinate, cases of CATARRH by
tlie use of this specific.
One aged lady iu Sjractise was thus peifectly
cured of a Catarrh, which had annoyed her all
her life. And a young lady at one of our first
class boarding schools, who was so afliicted with
this tlisease as to require more than forty hand
kerchiefs a week, was entirely cured in a single
week by this Specific.
PILES,
bl "filing and blind, some of thoe common and
obstinate forms of disease which are set ehflicu't
to cure by the ordinary tucthitds, but whieh find
an entire and fumhimeiital cure in the Piles Spe
cific. True, time is required ; but the Specific is
pleasant to take, requires neither ditt nor re
straint, and being followed up a perfect cure is
the result. Hundreds of persons, iu purchasing
a case of Specifics, have obtained a cure for this
m jst trying and obstinate form of disease, which
has been worth to thorn ten times the cost eif the
entire set. Cases of over twenty years' stand
ing have been cured by tlr's simple Specific, and
we believe may be cured by perseverance.
The case contains the best
EE YE II AND AGUE SPECIFIC
known. A remedy without ai.y deleterious or
poisonous substance, which not only cures the
ague, and old, mismanaged agues, but may be
relied upon as a preventive when persons are re
siding in a fever and ague disfrict. It pn vents
or protects upon the same principle that vaccina
tion prevents small pox or belladonea prevents
scarlet fever, by pre eKcupying the system with
the true Specific, liundrecls have been thus
protected and cured.
THE OPTHALMY SPECIFIC
has proved a most invaluable rcmeiTv for SO HE
EYES and EYELIDS, and f..r WEAK and
BLURRED SIGHT. One lady in Indiana, v.ho
bad been a sutrerer from sore ryes for many
years, and for two yeirs was entirely blind, was
cured perfectly by the Opthalmy Specific alone.
HEADACHES,
to which so many ate subject, find a curative in
the case. There is a specific which relieves at
the time of the attack, ami also one which cor
rects the condition eif the system upon which it
ilepeuds, and so destroys the predisposition to a
return.
The specifics for the various forms of
FEMALE COMPLAINTS
have proved invaluable. Om loxg standing
LEOCORRI1CEA or WHITES, attended with

HOSTETTER'S
STI
iH
BSTTEBS
It ia a fact that, at some period, every mem
ber of the human family is subject to disease
or disturbance of the bodily functions; but,
with the aid of a good tonic end the exercise
of plain common sense, they may be aide so to
regulate the system as to secure permanent
health. In order to accomplish this desired
object, the true course to purs-ue is certainly
thit which will produce a natural state of
things at the least hazard of vital strength and
life. For this purpose, Dr. Hostette-r has in
troduced to this country a preparation bearing
his name, which is not a new medicine, but one
that has been tried for years, giving satisfac
tion to all who have used it. The Bitters
operate powerfully upon the stomach, bowels,
and liver, restoring them to a healthy and
Tigorous action, and thus, by the simple pro
cess of strengthening nature, enable the sys
tem to triumph over disease.
For the cure of Dyspepsia, Indigestion, Nau
sea, Flatulency, Loss of Appet he, ir any Bilious
Complaints, arising from a morbid inaction
of the Stomach or Bowels, producing Cramps,
Dysentery, Colic, Cholera Morbus, &c., thebu
Bitters have no equal.
Diarrhoea, dysentery or flux, so generally con
tracted by new settlers, and cause-d principally
by the change of water and diet, will be sj-eedily
regulated by a brief nse of this preparation.
Dyspepsia, a disease which is probably more
prevalent, in all its Tarious forms, than any
other, and the cause of which may always
lie attributed to derangements of the digestive
organs, can be cured without fail by using
IIOSTETTER S oTOMAOII BITTERS, as per
tlirections on the bottle. Ter this disease every
physician will recommend Bitters of some kind ;
then why not use an article known to be infal
lible ? All nations have their Bitters, ns a pre
ventive of disease anel strcngihener of the sys
tem in general; and among tLem all there is
not to be found a more healthy pceiple than
the Germans, from whom this preparation ema
nated, based upon scientific experiments which
Iinve tended to prove the value of this great
preparation in the scale of medical science.
1'EVi.a ani Ague. This trying and provok
ing elisea3e, which fixes its relentless grasp on
the boely of man, reducing him to a mere sha
elow in a short time, and rendering him phy
sically and mentally useless, can be driven
from the body bv the use of IIOSTBTTtR'S
RENO WN ED BITTERS. Further, none of the
above-slated diseases can be contract eel, even
in exposed situations, if the Bitters are used
as per directions. And as they neither create
nausea nor offeml the palate, and reueler un
necessary any change of diet or interruption
of oreliuary pursuits, .but promote sound sleep
and hcaliliy digestion, the complaint is re
moved si speedily cs is consistent wiih the prod-action
of a thorough and peiir.anciit cure.
For Pirsons in A-lvancvl Yturt, who aro
suffering foin an enfeebled constitution and
infirm body, these Bitters are invaluable as a
restorative of strength and vigor, and need
only be tried to be appreciated. And to a
mother while nursing these Bitters arc indis
pensable, especially where the mother's nour
ishment i inadequate to tlie demands of the
child, consequently her strength must yield,
and here it is vhere a goenl temic, such as
Haslet ter's Stomach Bitters, is neeeled to impart
teiiixniry strength and vigor to the fcysieia.
Indies should by all means try this remedy
for all cases of elebility, end, before so Uoine,
should ask their physicijui. who, if he is
aefpiainteMl with the virtue of the Bitters, will
recommend their use in all cases of wor.kiuss.
CAUTION. YV"c caution the public against using
any of the many imitations or eemnterfeits, but ask
for IIostf.ttf.r's Ce Lr.cn atfd Ptomach Hin-Ens,
and see that caeli buttle has tho wonts "Dr. J.
Ilostetter's Stomach Titters" blown on the siiU
of tlie bottle, anl Mumped on tho metallic cap
covering the ctirt. ami observe that or.r autograph
signature is on ihe luli'l.
