Agricultural Fair
The third annual exhibition of tho Cambria
couuty Agricultural Society, opened on last
Weddislay and closed on Friday evening.
The attendanco during the first day was
small, and fears were entertained that the
I'air would prove a failure : but the attend-
ance during the two next dayi was very large,
and wc can, truly say that tho exhibition was
one of which the people of Cambria might

McLane was the son of Col. McLane, of Del
aware, one of the promineut leaders in the
Revolutionary War. At the time of the ad
mission of Missouri, Mr. McLane was Senator
from Delaware, and strongly opposed the so
called Compromise as unconstitutional, and
his speech on that subject gained him the
warm friendship of Gen. Jackson.
