THE undersigned citizens of Summerhill town
ship deeply spmpathise, with Mr. JOHN HARE
in the late disaster, by which his Tan House and
Stock on hand were greatly elamaged. And feeling
very desirous that he should have the assistance
of all who may have it in their power to assist
him would make this statement.
Mr. Hare by this calamity has partialy lost his
Tan House, which lie had just finished, together
with Took, and a large amount of his Hides and
Dressed Stock, in whiih was involved all his
available means. Also, a great amount of labor
of himself and Brother. We would further ttate
that we have made the necessary examination
and come to the conclusion, that it would require
at least Four Hundred Dollars, to place him in
the situation he was, before ti e fire. We take
great pleasure in stating that Mr. Hare is an in
dustrious, and worthy man. and deserving of the
favor of all honorable men. Signed
