J. A. RHODES, EfQ. : Dear Sir As I took
your medicine to sell on consignment, no cure
no pay," 1 tace pleasure in stating its tnucts as
reported to me ty three brothers who live in this
place, and their testimony is a fair specimen of
all I have received :
W. S. Conklin told me " I had taken nine
bottles of Christie's Ague Balsam, and continual
ly run down while using it until my lungs and
liver were Congested to that degree that blood
d scharged from my mouth and bowels, so that
a 1 thought it impossible f jr me to live through
another chill. The doctors to did all they could
for me, but thought I must die. Notning did me
any good until I got Rhodes' Fever and Ague
Cure which at once relieved me of the distress
and nausea at my stomach and pain in my head
and bowels, and produced a permanent cure in a
short time."
H. M. CosKLis says : " I had been been ta
king medicine of as good a doctor as we have in
. , , i i.- . . r -
our county, ana tasen any quantity oi quinine
and specifics without any good result, from 25th
Ati'mst to 17th December. But seeing how nice
ly it operated on my brother. I got a bottle of
RHODES' FEVER- AND AGUE CURE, which
effected a permanent cure by using two thirds of
a tattle."
S. M. Cosklix was not here, but both the other
b' others say his case was the same as H. M's.
sold the medicine to both the same day, and the
cure was as speeuy irom ne same small quantity
r
and 1 m,Sht 80 "P5" UTTr V
The above speaks for itself. Good proof as it
is, it is ot no better tenor than the vast number
of like certificates I have already published, and
the still greater amount that iSTontinually pour
ing in to me.
One thing more. Last year I had occasion to
Caution the Public m these words :
" Inotice one firm who have taken one of my
general circulars, substituted the name of their
nostrum for my medicine, and then with brazen
impudence end tJieir pampldet vritJt the exclamation.
" Let the proprietor rf any oilier medicine say as
muchij tit dares." tfC.
Now I take pleasure in saving that the Cau
tion referred to the same "Dr. Christie's A sue
Balsam " that is mentioned in" the above cer
tificate. - " ' ,j - - -, -i .
There are several other iudustrious rconle who
are applying to their poisonous trash all that I
publish about my fever and Ague Cure, or Anti
dote to Malaria, except the Certificates of Cures.
and the Certificate of the celebrated Chemist Dr.
James R. Chilton of N.Y., in favor of its ner-
fectly HARMLESS CHARACTER, which is at
tached to every bottle. These wili always serve
distinguish mv medicine from imitations.

lands of John Brown, Isaac Vickroy, Isaac Horner

river on this tract, thus affording several excellent
mill sites, with a never failing supply of water.
These lands all within six miles of the Pennsyl

best timbered lands in this region, and well worthy
the attention of capitalists. Persons desirous of
seeing the land will call upon John Brown, who
