Ebensburg, Oct. 21, 1853.
ALL persons having claims against the Alleghe
ny Portage Bail iioad, for services rendered
or materials furnisied previous to the 3d day of
Jfov. 1853, will report them to the Superintendent,
prior to the 20th of Nov. 18-33. The great difficul
ty that has heretofore cccurred in the payment of
the debts of this road, has bf-en from the negligence
of creditors themselves in failing to report their
claims previous to the making out of the general
report of the Superintendent. It is particularly
required that the entire indebtedness of the road be
now reported, so that application cao be made for
a sullicient amount to liquidate it during the ensu
ee ison. All persons failing to present their claims,
will ha. -e no assurance of payment out of the next
appropriation.
