lur-i. Baltic cleared on the 2d of February
for Philadelphia.

the Legislature has located the Capital at

stormy.
From the Sandwich Islands we have
dates from January llHh, but there is liule
news ol interest.
Horrible Murder oft the Isthmus. A
partv of 13 persons, supposed to have
been passengers on the Empire Ciu on
her last trip, were murdered while cross
ing the Isthmus. Among those murdered
were 2 ladies and 3 children. The mur
derers were arrested and confessed their
guilt.

backed straight out front its malicious
prosecutions against those who were in

cipators against Spanish tyranny in Cuba,
to which the Judge absented !

charged at once, and CeueraU Quitman,
l.optz, Sigur and all concerned, were ac
quitted without triul!
On the third trial of Gen. Henderson
the Juiy stood eleven for acquittal and one
against.
Thus ends this monstrous governmental
farce, in which the high servants of a
Republican people, have carried ou an
unwarranted persecution against a baud ol
noble men who dared, openly, to give
counsel and sy mpathy to the cause ol
liberty !
The news was received with universal
satisfaction by the people of New Orleans
anjsjrad rapidly in every direction. The
Cubans are particularly pleased.
CF Hugh Deary whose trial for murder

has been fully acquitted of the charge.
