Mr. Perry, a gentlrman attached to the!
office of the New Orleans Bulletin, was!
one ot the party, and lust his lile by the
fatal disaster. lie was a gentleman well
known and much caieemed. Mr. Kid J,
of the Daily Crescent, and .Mr. Higna, of
the Delta, were wounded, bat not seri
ously. Mr. Nathan Jarvi?, Mr. Stillinian, and
Mr. Stoim, of the Nkw York Novelty
Works, were aboard, and all of them be
lieved to be mortally wounded.
Captain Ainnibol, and Captain Thomp
son, of the ship Lexington, and others,
were badly injured.
The lion. Junius Deebe, a member of
the State Senate, was on board, and is
believed to have been killed.
It is impossible yet to ascertain the
precise number of killed wo.ii.tied and
uiissing or their names but the suppo
sition is that they cannot vary much from
one hundred.
