The flour Market has assumed a firmer aspect, but the
demand is not active. Sales of 2500 bbis Penne fresh
ground at *5.50 a 5.621, and extra $5.75-1200 bbis West
ern at $5.25 a 5.50. Holders generally ask $5.62} for fresh
ground Penna Flour. Rye Fleur—No sales. Corn Meal—
Sales of 1200 hundred tads at *3.25 for Penne, and $3.50
for Brandywine. Wheat-1500 bus prime Pennn red sold
at $1.15. Corn is wanted at7o cm, but holders ask higher.
Oats—The receipts are light; 2000 bus North River sold
at 45 cts from store. Cotton—Sales of 120 bales Upland
at 12 a 12; etc. Coffee—ls - inore inquired for, and several
hundred bags Rin have changed hands on private terms.
Sugar—Sales of 850 to 900 hhds Porto Rico from store
on terms not made public. Whiskey—Sales iu ?This at
25 cm.
Sales of Flour to-day at $4, the receipts light and the
demand falling off. wheat 80 to 85; corn 37 to 41; oats
26; rye 40, whiskey 22 to 24; flaxseed 87; rye flour
$3,25; no change in the prices of Cotton.
The river has but three feet in the channel.
The sales of Onward Street Flour have been light the
last few days. On Tuesday some parcels were sold at
$5.2.5, 5.311 a 5.371, the latter rate for fresh ground. To
day there have been sales of IWO bbis at $5.25„5.31.1,5.371
a .5 43i, according to freshness.

By virtue of a decree of the High Court of Chan
cery of Maryland, the undersigned, Trustees, will
offer at public sale, at Forney's Tavern. in Reis
terstown, on SATURDAY, the seventh day of
August, at 12. o'clock, M., the following valuable

A Farm, containing 130 acres, more or less, lying
about nineteen miles from the city of Baltimore, and
a mile and a halt trout the Hanover Turnpike.
Upon this Farm is a mill seat and an old
iILGItIST AND SAW MILL• which if repair
would command an extensive country cus
tom. Nearly one halt is m valuable timber and a
large proportion of meadow. it adjoins the lands
of J. T Worthington, Esq., and the land recently
purchas Id by Messrs. Barr and Kindig. Limestone
in abundance is in the immediate

Also, a Farm, containing 320 acres, more nr less,
lying about eighteen miles from the city of Balti
more, fronting on the Hanover Turnpike, and run•
ning down to the Limestone valley, well known
as one of the richest tracts in Nlary land. More than
one third of it is heavily covered with the finest
timber. The arable Land is very producove and
more than 30,000 bushels of Lime have been put
upon it within the last few years. There are more
than 1200 trait Trees, et choicest kind. apple, peach,
&c.. young and just coming into full beat utg. The
Legislature has passed an act for the continuation
of the Westminster branch of the Susquehanna
Railroad, which, by surveys heretofore made, with.
out passing through this Farm will almost touch it ;
and which, when made, will, besides other advan
tages. give great value to the large quantity of fine
„ n,vo and timber upon the place. 'there is up
llon the Fartn a small Dwelling Rouse. Barn,
Lime Kiln, &c. The terms of sale are one
fifth cash, end the balance in four equal annual in
atalments. with security to be approved by the
Trustees, and bearing interest from the day of sale.

The Petition of Christian Neff of the Township
of Conoy, and county aforesaid, respectfully rep
resents, that lie ri,surous of continuing to keep a
bouts of public entertainment, at the well estab•
lished old stand, recently kept by George H. Horn
ing in said township,and County aforesaid, sad
that he is well provided with houseroom and con
veniences for the accommodation of Straneers and
Travellers. Your Petitioner therefore, humbly
prays your Honors to grant him a transfer of the
License of the said George H. Horning, to keep a
public house at the place above mentioned. And
he will ever pray, &c. CHRISTIAN NEFF.
We, the undersigned citizens of the township
of Coney, where the said Inn or Tavern is propo
sed to be kept, Do Certify, that the said Inn or
