ACCIDEPT.-0I Friday afternoon last,
as Mr. Henry Brightbill, of this borougP,
was attempting to fasten hiS horse to
the stall in the stable, the animal sud
denly shied, and almost severed the
little finger of the left hand, at the first
joint. Dr. W. D. Hall was called in,
when the injured member xv;.s dressed,
'and although very painful, it is improv
ing slowly.'
TUE new band, whose organization We
alluded to several weeks since, .we are
glad to announce is making progress.
They have ordered a sett of silver instru
ments, which they expect to receive in
about two weeks. They are stillan want

music to contribute something towards

Thursday night last. We did not learn
the particulars, excepting that, a 'half a
dozen of men made an attack on a single
individual, cutting him eery severely.
