last week, A. p. Walker, a young man
from the lower end of the county, im
prisoned in " Fort Foreman," on a charge
of larceny attempted to escape from
prison. Since his incarceration the
prisoner has been very obstreperous, so
I much so that the Sheriff ;pa...compelled
to transfer him from cell po. 27, to cell
No. lx iS, known as the 4 ! w;ioden cell."

ate notvithstanding the removal.
Deputy Sheriff Goodyear on entering
his cell to reprove him; noticed a bundle
laying in one corner, and proceeded - to
examine it, when it was ascertained that
he was not "boring for oil," but for his
liberty. The prisoner was then placed
in shackles, until he can conduct himself
properly,
