as follows:,—About eighteen months agol.was attack
ed with a severe cough, and it settled on my lungs;
could not retain anything I ate, and suffered with
evening lovers and night sweats. I was very much
reduced. The whites of my eyes were very yellow;
likewise m - skin ; my appetite all gone, and unable
. to digest what 1 did eat; bowels pwoolon, irregular and
`Weave. I was very low spirited, and bud such violent
spells of couguing when I laid dciwu at night and when
I arose in the morning that' they would last one or,
two hours.
I then would bo nearly exhausted, and was entirely
unable to Boon my lest side. I cannot describe My
wretched suffering as I would wish to do. livery or
gan In my body was dlseased.or deranged. Buell' was
my situation at this time, and 1 solo Confined to my
bed from the last of February, 1802, to June, 1863,n0t
able to situp. I had tho best of medical attendance

quantity of thick, yell , w, ollosisive matter, sometimes
with blood, end It was generally accompanied by nau

time of coughing so badly 1 would have sharp, shoot
ing pains In my left side and heart, night sweats, and
soreness all through my whole chest ; hadmuch in
ward fever, pain in My back and under my Shoulder

physician gave me up to tile Others I had, and the
best of them but they could do nothing tor me, and
