cer with whom the deposit Was made. No deductions
for commissions must be made from the deposits.
SPECIAL ADVANTAGES OF THIS
LOAN
IT re A NATIONAL Skvmas BANE, offering a higher
rate of interest than any other, and the hest eocurity.
Any savings bank which pays its depositors in U. S.
Notes, considern that it is paying In the best circula
ting medium of the country, and it cannot pay in any
thing better. for Its own assets aru either in govern
ment securities or in notes or bonds payable in gov
ernment paper.
It is equally convenient no a temporary or permanent
investment. The notes can alwnya be solo far within
a fraction of their face and accumulated interest, and
aro the best security with banks as collaterale for dis
counts.
Convertible into a Six per cent. 5-2)
Gold Bond
lin addition to the very liberal Interest on the notes
for three years, this privilege of conversion le worth
about three per cont. per annum, for the current rate
for 6-20 Bonds is not less than nine per cent. premium,
and before the war the premium on six per coot. U. 8 ,
stocks was over twenty per cent. It will he seen that
the actual profit . on this loan, at the mrsent market
rate, Is not less than ten per cont. per annum.
Its Exemption from State or Nunici
pal Taxation.
Tint aside from all the advantages we have en um er
ated, a special Act of Congress exempts all bonds and
Treasury notes from local taxation. On the average,
.this exemption is worth about two per cont. per annum.
according to the rate of taxation in various parts of
the country.
It is believed that no securities offer so greet induce
ments to lenders as those issued by the government.
In all other forms of indebtedness, the faith or ability of
private parties, or stock companies, or separate commu
nities, only, is pledged for payment, while the whole
property of the country is held to secure the discharge
of all obligations of the United States.
While the government offers the most liberal terms
fcr lie loans, it believes that the very strongest /INA'
will be to the loyalty and patriotism of the people.
Duplicate certificates will be issued for all deposits.
The party depositing must endorse upon the original
certificate the denomination of notes required, and
whether they aro to be Issued in blank or" payable to
order. When so endorsed it must ho left with the offi
cer receiving the deposit, to be forwarded to the Prune

HE peculiar taint or
ifection which we call
iCROFULA lurks in
le constitutions :if
nititudes of men. It
ther produces or is
rodneed by an en
!ebled, vitiated stale
f the blond, wherein
int fluid becomes in
nilpotent to sustain
le vital forces in their
Morons action, and
raves the system to
11 into disorder and
- oecny. The scrofulous
contamination is variously caused by mercurial
disease, low living, disordered digestion from
unhealthy food, impure air, filth and filthy
habits, the depressing vices, and, shove all, by
the venereal infection. Whatever ho its origin,
it is hereditary in the constitution, descending
"from parents to children unto the third and
fourth generation ; " indeed, it seems to be the
rod of Him who says, " I will visit the iniqui
ties of tho fathers upon their children." The
diseases which it originates take various names,
according to the. organs it attacks. In the
lungs, Scrofula produces tubercles, and finally
Consumption ; in the glands, swellings which
suppurate and become ulcerous sores ; in the
stomach and bowels, derangements which pro
duce indigestion, dyspepsia, and liver com
plaints; on the skin, eruptive and cutaneous
affections. These all having the same origin,
require the same remedy, rm. purification and
invigoration of the filei6d. Purify the blood,
and these. dangerous distempers leave yon.
With feeble, foul, or corrupted blood, you can
not have health ; with that "life of the flesh"
healthy, you cannot have scrofulous disease.
dyer's Sarsaparilla
is compounded from the most effectual anti
dotes that medical science has discovered for
this afflicting distemper, and for the cure of the
disorders it en mile. That it is far superior to
any other remedy yet devised. is known by all
who have given it a trial. That it does com
bine virtues truly extraordinary in their effect
upon this class of complaints, is indisputably
proven by the great multitude of publicly
known and remarkable cures it has made of
the following diseases : King's Evil or
Glandular . Swellings, Tumors, Erup
tions, Pimples, Blotches and Sores, Ery
sipelas, Rose or St. Anthony's Fire, Salt
Rheum, Scald Head, Coughs from tu
berculous deposits in the lungs, White
Swellings, Debility, Dropsy, Neuralgia,
Dyspepsia or Indigestion, Syphilis and
Syphilitic Infections, Mercurial Diseases,
Female Weaknesses, and, indeed, the whole
series of complaints that arise from impurity
of the blood. Minute reports of individual
eases may be found in Av en's AatEtttr sx
ALMAN A C, which is fillMi,ilC,l to the druggists
for gratuitous distribution, wherein may he
learned the directions for its use, and some of
the remarkable cures which it has made when
all other remedies had failed to afford relief.
Tho , e eases are purposely taken from all sec
tions of the country, in order that every reader
may have access to some one who can speak to
him of its benefits from personal experience.
Scrofula depresses the vital ,energies. and thus
leaves its victims far More •subject to disease
and its fatal results than ore healthy constitu
tions. Hence it tends to shorten, and does
greatly shorten, the average duration of human
life. The vast importance Of these considera
-tions'has led us to spend years in perfecting a
remedy which i 9 adequate to its cum. This
we now offer to the public tinder the nanie of
Aymt's SARSAPARI MOW/Ugh it is Com
posed of ingredients, some of which exceed the
best of Sarsaparilla in alterative power. By
its aid yon may protect yourself from dm suffer
log and danger of these disorders. Purge out
the foul corruptions that rot and fester in the.
blood ; purge out the causes of disease, anti
vigorous health will follow. By its peculiar
virtues this remedy stimulates the vital func
tions, and thus expels the distempers which
lurk within the system or burst out on nay
part of it.
We know the public have been deceived hy
many compounds of Sarsaparilla, that promised
much and did nothing; but they will neither be
deceived nor disappointed in this, Its virtues
have been proven by abundant trial, and there
remains no question of its surpassing excellence
for the cure of the afflicting diseases it is in
tended to reach. Although under the same
name, it is a very different medicine from any
other which has liven before the people, and is
far more effectual than any other which has
ever been available to them.
