HOSTE'fTER'S
STeitigiCittriTTEßS.
The proprietors and mini facturers of ITOS
TEETER'S CELEBBATEDSTOMACII BIT
TERS can appeal with perfect confidence to
physicians and citizens generally of the United
/States, because the article has attained a repu
tation heretofore unknown. A few facts upon
this point will speak more powerfully than
volumes of bare assertion or blazoning puffery.
. .
/Le consumption of lioutetter's Stomach Bit
ters for the !set year amounted to over a half
"million. bottles, and from its manifest steady,
Increase in times past, it is evidefit that during
the coming year (Ito consumption will reach
near one million bottles. This immense amount
Gould never have been sold but for the rare
medicinal properties contained in the prepara
tion, and the sanction of the most prominent
physicians in those sections of the country
where the article is best known, who not only
tecominend the Bitters to their patients, but
are ready at all times to give testimonials to its
efficacy in all cases of stomachic derangements
sad the diseases resulting therefrom.
This is note temporary popularity, obtained
by extraordinary efforts in the way of trum
peting the qualities, of the Bitters, but a solid
eiatimation of an invaluable medicine, which is
destined to he as enduring as time itself.
Hostetter's Stomach Bitters have proved
Goditi"nd to regions where fever and ague
sad' various other bilious complaints have
aotinted their victims by hundreds. To be
able., : to state confidently that the "Bitters"
are i certain cure for the Dyspepsia and like
diseases, is to the proprietors a sotirce of un
alloyed pleasure. It removes all morbid matter
from the stomach, purifies the blood, and
irnparte renewed vitality to the nervous system,
wiring it that tone and energy indispensable
ter the restoration of health. It operates upon
the stomach, liver, and other digestive organs,
wildly hut powerfully, and soon restores them
to 'condition cesential to the healthy discharge
el the functions of nature.
Elderly persons may use the Bitters daily as
per directions on the bottle, end they will fin(
fn it a stimulant peculiarly_ adapted to comfort
declining years, as it is pleasant. to the palate,
invigorating to the bowels, excellent as a tonic,
and rejuvenating generally. We have tee evi
dence of thousands of aged men and women
Rho have experienced the benefit of using this
preparation while suffering from stomach de,
mingements and general debility; acting under
Oho advice of physicians, they have abandoned
al/ deleterious drugs and fairly tested the
merits of this article. A few words to the
*staler sex. There are certain periods when
their cares are so harassing that many of them
rink under the trial. The relation of mother
and child ig so absorbingly tender, that the
mother, especially if she lie young, is apt to
forget her own health in her extreme anxiety
for her infant. Should the period of maternity
arrive during the slimmer Henson, the wear of
body and. mind is generally aggravated. Ilere,
then, is a necessity for a tit imulant to recupe
rate the energies of the system, and enable the
mother to bear up under her exhausting trials
and responsibilities. Nursing mothers gene
rally prefer the Bitters to all other invigora
tion that receive the endorsement of physi
cians, because it:is agreeable to the taste as
"ell as certain to give a permanent increase
V bodily strength.
'JAN those persons, to whom we have particu
bet, referred above, to wit: sufferers from
Oliver and ague, caused by malaria, dim-rho:a,
dysenteey, indigestion, loss of appetite, and
all diseases or derangements of the stomach,
superannuated invalids, persons of sedentary
oreepation, and nursing mothers, will consult
ellen , own phyeical welfare by giving to Hos
tetter's Celebrated Stomach Bitters a. trial.

The Balsamic Cordial is entirely a Vegetable produc
tion, combining the heeling properties of the
with the invigorating qualities of n Cordial, producing
a combination so moil Adupted_to tha purposes intend
ed, that there are but few ruses of disease which will
not, at au early period, succumb to ita healing and life
giving properties.
. For ages, has the treatment •f pulmonary diseases
occupied the greater portion of the attention of the
scientific of the medical world. but none acquired more
eminence In his treatment of these diereses, thou the
celebrated Prussian Dr. Iloortthn, the originator of the
Balsamic Cordial. Ills life was devoted to the produc
tion of renfedle , that would stand unrivalled. How
well he has succeeded, the American people are able to
udge : and we positively assert, that no preparations
the t hale ever been placed before them, have conferred
the same amount of benellis ma suffering humanity, or
have elicited so many eommendations front all classes
of society, es the remedies of Dr. llffolland, prepared by
Dr. C. Jackson et Co., of Philadelphia.
The Cordial In designed for a class of diseases more
general mid more fatal than any other to which the
people of this country are suldect—those springing from
a "1.11.1011 T coth." That eminent authority, Dr. 8011,
says: "I will not say that Colds to our inhabitants
what the I'Mon: and YEttow Faysn are to those of other
countries; but I can aver eontidently that they usher
in diseaseof greater complicity and mortality than these
latter."
