HOSTETTER'S
STOMACH-BITTERS.
The proprietors and manufacturers of HOS
TETTPR'S CELEBRATED STOMACH BIT
TRIIS can appeal with perfect confidence to
physicians and citizens generally of the United
States, because the article has attained a repu
tation heretofore unknown. A few facts mien
this point will speak more powerfully than
volumes of bare assertion or blazoning puffery.
`he consumption of Hostel ter's Stomach Bit
tors for the last year amounted to over a half
million bottles, and from its manifest steady
inoretide - in times past, it is evident that during - .
the coming year the consumption will reach
near one million l l ot thi. This immense amount
could never have been Fold but for the rare
medicinal properties contained in the prepara
tion, and ( pie flat let the most prominent
physicialis in th 0,,,, sections of the country
'where the article is best known, who not only
recommend the Bitters to their patients, but
are ready at all times to give testimonials to its
efficacy in all eases of stomachic derangements
and the (Defenses resulting therefrom.
This is not a teniporary popularity, obtained
by extraordinary efforts in the may of Inlet
poling the qualities of the Bitters, but a solid
estimation of an invaluable inaTeiiii ,- ; which is
destined to be ns enduring ns t ime. itself.
Hostetter's Stontftch Bitters have proved
a Godsend to regions where fever and ague
and various other bilious complaints have
*canoed their victims by hundreds. To bo
able to state confidently that tho “Bitters''
ore a certain cure for the Dyspepsia and like
diseases, is to the proprietors a source of un
alloyed pleasure. It removes till morbid matter
from the stomach, purities the blood, and
imßarts renewed vitality to the nervous system,
giving it that tone and energy indispen-ahie
for the restoration of health. It operates upon
the stomach, liver, and other digestive organs,
mildly but powerfully, and soon restores theta
to a condition essential to the ;pithy discharge
of the functions of nature.
Elderly persons may use the Bitters daily an
par direetions.on the la4tle, and they will find

who ]nave experienced the benefit of using this
preparation while suffering front stomach de

the advice of physicians, they have abandoned
all deleterious drugs and fairly text ed the
merits of this article. A few words to the
gentler sex. There are certain periods when
their cares are so harassing that many of them
