CULTIVATION
The most important part of our subject
is connected with the culture of this deli
sinus fruit, and it is surprising that with
all the advantages promised from and),
Markel)le results already obtained in the
cultiire of the cranberry, so little attentdon'
has been given to this pleasant and pOi
014 deportment of fruit growing. -The
plants are., I.:,,xcee,dinaly productive, and
when -once established, the fruit costs
nothing but the simple expense of gather
ing,. and always commands the highest
prices and a ready market.
As the culture of Ike cranberry is very
properly divided int. -two .departinents,
the Marsh or Blp Altql(/MV, and the , ) m
land, w,e pi:opus° in ~ur. nest article to
considerAho former.
