efficacy of this medicine in inflammatory diseases.
ti For the last twelve years I have been more or less

in, when I would be relieved fora while, only to be at
tacked again in the Spring-. All nay joints would swell
and be very sore, attended with the most acute pain.

I woul I cry everything I could hear o , a the hope of
finding a cure. I also tried several phys lame, but no.
thing seemed to help me the 'emit in thew rid.. About
two and a half years ago I was attacked as usual. and
as usual tried everything to get rid of It, but to no pur
' pose. I kept growing worse, and finally had to give up
and stay in the house where I was confined about four
weeks. Thin time my feet a welled, and were so sore that
I could not'stand on theta or get on my boots, and_my_
bands swelled to twice their usual sise. In fact, I was
to all appearances and belief, totally need up. About
this time my parente, who reside in Maine, sect for me
to some home. I went, and after my arrival commen
ced trying another remedy, hoping to be cured, but re,
suiting the same as all others. For weeks I had not
beau able to dress enyielf or raise my band to my bead,'
and suffering the most excruciating pain all the time.
One day my father came in with a paper in which was
advertised Dr. Coagswell's Medical Salt, for Inflame

I

my faith was not increased, and I laughed at the id,a
also small a dose doing me any good. and told my wife
that I believed Dr. o..and his Salt both humbug's.—
However, I commenced using It and the result wee
perfectly eusteuisleing. I could hardly realise it memoir.
,
I slept soundly all night. which I had not done for a'
' long time, and when I awoke in the morning strange
as it may seem, I wan entirely free from 'pain. 1 had
then taken but one dose, and bathed freely, berore going
to bed. That morning I felt so well that Ihardly knew
how to contain myself. and went down stake end-told
