particularly the salvation of God, which
christianity unfolds, which is destined to
' be proclaimed- in every land must receive

the science of Geography.

the youth and children of our literary
. institutions. This science-has for its
- object the investigation and description
of the interval structure of the Globe.
It is true; 'man's - knowledge in this science
;As but shallow, and very 'imperfect; from
the fact, that the-vast quantity of matter
contained wjihin• the internal structure
- of the . eartliiims boom' penetrated but to
. : a very limited extent; yet, the observa
tions which have been made during the
--last-half- obli tury, - and--thsLdeductimit
drawn therefrom are-highlyinteresting
both to the philostpher,•and to the Christ
ian. Previous to these last. discoveries,
_a-variety of objections were. filed against
thp Mosaic history of creation, which we
think, have been much diminished, since
it has been'perceived that there exists •a

of Revelation, and the operations of the
