TRIG MORMON WAR From, the St. Louis Itepubllcao, Jan. 13. Webev'e received lateintelligence from Utah . The army went through the South Pass, on the 24th of September, and on the 25th ,hos tilities on the part of the Mormons commenced. ey - fircd - on the pick etorlio were-- puardin the mule herd, and thew attempted to stam pede the mules. The movement, temporarily successful, failed, as the entire'herd was re covered on the some day. No cavalry being on the ground, however, the marauders es caped, Nothing Was seen of them until the 27th, when approaching Green river, some five or . six were observed, flat they fled before the advance guard could reaoh them. On that afternoon, there was a rumor that the company under Lieut. Deshler would be attacked;'he had tint thirty men, atld had in charge some of the supply Milne,. The advance guard started nt night to his relief; and made a for ced march 'of twenty-two miles, to find ',Nat, D. and his, train safe. The 'army concentrated at Darn's Fork, and on the 31 October the Mormons burned three supply trains containing some of the Commie nary stdres. Tliey also succeeded in running off the oxen. The death of be tween two and three. thousand oxen, and the . majority of the horses, rendered movements slow,"and it was net.until the 17th that a dis tance of thirt - y 'miles was made. Salt is short, and vegetables are wanting, while the oxen are being butchered an (net en convenience will allow. On the 27th, a hundred bushels of - vegetables were brought into camp, and turned over to the hospital department. Oti the 10th November, Col.
