THE COSMOPOLITAN ART AND LITERARY ASFO
CIATION, ormtnized fur the encouragement and general
diffusion of Literatpre and the Fine Arts on a ❑uw and
original plan.
This popular Art Association is designed to encourage
and popularize the Fine Arts, and disseminate, whole
some Literature throughout the country. A Gallery of
Art is permanently founded, and will contain a vatted le
collection of Paintings and Statuary for the non nal dis
tribution of each year. The best Literature of the day
will be issued to subscril ers, consisting of the popular
Monthly :Magazines, Reviews, Ac.
The Committee of Management have the pleasure of
announcing that the First Annual Distribution w ill take
place In January next, on which occasion there will be
distributed or allotted to members, several hundred
works of Art, among which is the original and world re
nowned statue of the GREEK SLAVE, by Ilinina rowels,
costing over five thousand dollars, together with the
beautiful Statues of Venus, Bacchante, I tele, Flora, and
the Dancing Girl; and 15 Statuettes in Bronze, import
ed from Paris; also, a large collection of Oil Paintings,
comprising some of the best productions of celebrated
American and Foreign'Artists.
The Literature issued to subscribers consists of the
following Monthly Magazines: Harpers Putnam 's Knick
erbocker, Blackwood's, Grahain's. Magazine of A rt,mud
(lodey's Lady's Book, and the Quarterly Itet le-s re
printed in New York: Edinburg, Westminster, London
Quarterly and North British.
PLAN FOR THE CURRENT YEAR
The payment of three dollars constitutes any one a
member of this Association, and entitles him to either
one of the above Magazines for one year, and also to'n
ticket in distrilmtion of the , tqatuary and Paintings,
which are to be allotted to . members in January.

five or tho Magazines one year, and to six ticket:: in the
