Theco Springs are in Cumberland County,
12 miles west of Carlisle, and are now open
for the reception of visitors. Tho valuable
improvements whibh have been made since
lust season, end the, recent discovery of the
Chnlybeats Spring, add greatly to the' induce
ments presented for the present season...
ANALYSIS OF TII t: WHITE SULPHUR . ANp• CIIAL

The odor of Sulphuretted Hydrogen, per
ceived at some distance from the Springs, im
parts to this water the peculiar properties of
Sulphur Springs. Beside this ingredient, I
Bud that the water contains Carbonate of
da and of Magnesia, Giauber's Salt, Epsom
Salt, and Common Salt; ingredients which
give it on increased value, -After removing
the excess OT carbonic acid which it contains,
it•gives nn alkaline reaction.
The Clutlybeate water readily yields a pro,
cipitafe after ebullition or continued exposure
has expelled the excess of carbonic ncirL 'Be
side the bicarbonate of Iron, which is lts chief
charncteristiti, it also. contains Epsom* Salt,
Common Salt, and Carbonate of Magnesia.

Ile has. erected an additional Bathing House,
separate from the other Bathing House, connect
ed with which there is a large Plunge Pool,
expressly for the use of Ladies. With these,
and thelother improvement's made this Season,
he feels satisfied that he cat) give more general
satisl action atd•comfort to his Visitors than any
Season hitherto: and hopes to receive a Filar°
of the Public Patronage, By moderate charges
and strict attention to business, it will be his
effort to please those - who will favor him with a

Circular. There is so place in. ,the State that
affords such delightful Bathings as the Water
which' flows .so copiously from the WARM
&nines, which is at the foot of Quaker Hill :
and for itsinediciamil qualities, none are cereal
to it , except the Warni Springs of Virginia.—
There are several other Springs close Fry, no
two of which are alike in the temperature of
their water. Sherman's Creek is delightful for
sailing upon, having a fine Island near. covered
with the tall oaks of :Ale (Orem. A Summer—
house is erected upon, the Island. Pisgah
IVlOnntain,some four or five hundred feet high,is
in front of the house, with Sherman's Creek
flowing at its base. From the summit of this
mountain there is commanded an extensive
view of rich and varied scenery, the surround
ing country being among the most pietti•esqUe
in the State. Among, the many attractions of
the Warm Springs, there are numerous shady
and romantic summer roads. making very plea
sant drives. Horses anti Vehicles arc always
on hard.
Persons leaving Philadelphia A or Baltimore,
-in-the-morning train in - Dancimnon, - nn the Cen
tral Railread,l4 miles north-West of Harrisburg,
and there taking o conch, which is always in
readiness, will arrive at the Snringitaliout 4 o'-

non,so that persons can reach either of the above
