Testimony of the higheat character! HON.
GHQ, STROOP, Judge of the District Court in
Perry county, Pa., Nov, 16th, 1852 said: "your
'lluofland`s German Bitters' his been in, use in
our place over a year past, and to the astonish - -
ment of many has performed wonders. We
may notice a few instances that have o pome
under own 'immediate notice:—almost every
person who has dtapped at the hotel of Wm.
Lackey, one year since, predicted ilorn his c: .
Inaciated countenance and debility; that ha
could 'not live much longer. .Ile was unable.
to attend - le his beiness, and for the greater
part, of the time confined to his room. We rec. I
ommended him to try the German Bitten , he
did; and to the surprise of all his friends ;lei§
now able to attend to his usual business and
perform manual- labor. The case of Henry
Asper a stone mason, whom no one supposed
would ever recover from the' debility of bis
system, byt was looked upon as fast approach
ing the grave, took eight or nine bottles of the
Bitters daring the last winter, ftlid this sum.
I mar ho bas been fto the surprisevof all who
knew his case] following his trade. The case
of William h 1 it :, is no less astonishing.—
lie too was so educed as to induce the
general belief ilia ' o grave alone would be
his only, remedy. Mr. Lackey recommended
him to try the Hoofland's German Bitters; he
is now apparently a well man, and able to do
a bard day's work. We could mention many
other cases of a similar character. if it were
necessary. I myself derived mill benefit !rum
their use. I hese given considerable of it a
_way.'not for - -your benefit alone; but-to- relieve
suffering humanity, and let ins assure you I
am pleased to see the happy result. To the
afflicted we say, try them fairly and I will
warrant relief."
These Bitters p.m worthy the attention of
invalids, possessing great power in the recto=
ration of a healthy action of the liver and the
lessor glands, giving tone to the stomach and
nervous system, and bringing the system gen
orally to a high state a, health.
