little or no'effect ort . tko market, and the opec
rations of last .week,•withthe exception of cot
ton, whiohjons been taken to some extent for
neighborlng market, have generally been on
a very moderate scale. Breadstulfs continuo
in limited request. *Groceries and , ' Irrovisions
ore very inactive. ' Iron sells slowly, but Clo
ver seed is attracting more attention, and largo
sales could:be matlemt considerable advance
on,mvious pi:ices. In other respects there'aro
no iiiiliortantichanges to notice since the 'close
of last week. •
FLOUR. AND VEAL.—The market for Flour
opened with rather more firmness on the part
or holders, but the export demand continuing
limited, prices have been barely sustained in
the Operations or the Jest week; - sales only
reach some 6000 bbls. for shipment, mostly
standard superfine, et $425, ineitidliig some
lots taken et a shade loss, and fresh ground
parcels and better lots at $4,28e51,311
bbl., the , market closing very quiet, holders
generally being free sellers at our lowest fig
ures. The home demand has been only to- a
inoderate extent at $4,25 for common retail
ing. $1,31i0.54,37a for better brands, $4,50
0:h51,75 for extra, and $5e55,75 for fancy
brawls. Ityo Flour continues scarce, with
small sales at $3,371 '7E4 bill. Corn Meal -is
rather quiet, and about 1500 Ulm. only found
buyers at $2,811 ii,s2,B7if iTI bbl:; most.hold
erg ask the latter rate. The inspections of the
week ending the 10th inst. are 10,540 barrels
Plonr, 717 half Obis.-do. '• 37 bbls, llye Flour,
1474 bbls. Corn Meal, and 100 half bbls. do.
CIIAIN.—The demand for Wheat continues
steady, and the receipts, some 256 , 80,000
bushels, have been Oaken, including some lots
in store, at 086101 c. for white, and 04 00
for red, as in quality. The.bulk of_ the solos
were at ougitglecilfus Rye mania"
rcarce and in demand, with-- sales of 2500
bushels Tonn'a:in lots at,72c. Corn has been
in good demand and 05,000 bushels sold, most
ly at 51 cents for Brood Delaware and Pennsyl
vania yellow, including - some inferior lots at 58
and GO cents, and white at the flirmer rate.—
Oats continua in moderate request, with sales
of 10,000 bushels at 400. for inferior, 420421
for good, and 413 c. for very prima Penn'a.
