sufferers from the very verge of an untimely grave,
after all the deceptive nostrums of the day had ut

permanently secured that uniform enjoyment of
health, without which life itself is but a partial
blessing. So giant, indeed, has their efficacy inva

The firsLoperation is _to Joosen- froni-the coats of
the stomach and bowels the various impurities and
crudities constantly settling round them ; and to
remove the hardened fasces which collect in the
donvolittions of the small intestines. Other medi
cines only partially cleanse these, cud leave such
collected masses behind to produce habitual Costive
ness, with all its train of evil., or sudden Diarrhwa
with its imminent dangers. This fact is well
known to all regular anatomists who examine the
human bowels after death ; and hence the preju
dice of these well-informed men against dip quack
medicines of the age. The second effect of the
VEGETABLE LIFE MEDICINES is to
cleanse the kidneys and the bladder ; and, by this
means, the liver and lungs;-the healthful action of
which entirely depends upon the regularity of the
urinary organs. The . blood, which takes its red
solor from the agency of the liver and lungs, before
iZ passes into the heart, &oink thus purified by }hem,
and nourished by food coming from a clean stomach,
courses freely through the veins, renews every part
of the system, and triumphaMly mounts the banner
of health in the blooming cheek.
