Since the act of 1844, the Commissioners hare'
paid the State tax of this county annually to ilia
State Treasurer, within the time proscrißd try

meet said payment they have tound it necessary
heretofore to appropriate a part of the county
funds] to meet the deficiency occasional! by de
linquents, until the balance of the State tax wan
