The last Legislature made some honest entice v.. c
ors towards a liquidation of our State petit and,
providing the means of paying the interest. 'A

Both those laws met the hearty approbation of the

less and unprincipled individual who has been en
trusted with the Chief Magistracy of the State,

Judiciary , branch of the government has by the
recent decision of the'Supreino Court been-dc
dared exempt from 'a portieni of the burdens
which should by every moral obligation be borne'

in per opinion, have brought Pennsylvania near
er to the commission of repudiation, than any
previous step for years. It will be useless to do
nounce the loafer; who, perfectly irresponsible, is
shameless 'enough to declare himself in the pub
